Teen Arts Council Application

The Teen Arts Council at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art is a youth leadership program for Kansas
City-area teens, in both Kansas and Missouri.

A competitively selected group of up to fifteen 14–17 year-olds will work with Museum Education staff to
develop and manage teen programs for Kemper Museum. In addition they could, based on the evolution of
the group, take part in workshops with local artists, train to be a Teen Docent, learn about museum careers,
and co-organize an art exhibition.

The Teen Arts Council will meet twice a month from January 2019 to October 2019. Each meeting will be
from 4:00–6:00 p.m. and will take place at Kemper Museum, located at 4420 Warwick Boulevard in Kansas
City, Missouri. Each member is responsible for their own transportation to and from the meetings. Teen
Arts Council members will also be required to attend any teen programs they manage such as a Teen Night
and Teen Studio Saturday. Teens will receive a stipend of $100/month.

We are currently accepting applications for the Teen Arts Council. To be eligible for the Kemper Museum
Teen Arts Council, you must be between the ages of 14 and 17 when the Teen Arts Council begins in
January 2019.
