Does Staad have a option to design steel structure addressing the requirement AISC 341-10 (i.e. Seismic Provision of AISC
360)

No, as of now it does not account for the AISC 341-10 provisions.

Dear Sye, Your answer partially answers my question. However I am left with a question "How can an
engineer verify the result of STAAD analysis for a the AISC 341-10 requirement?". I have had a detail look
at the requirement and addressing them (apart classification which is quite simple to do) means using the
load combination use in staad and verify if each individual member satisfy the requirements of chapter D,
E, F etc of the code depending if you are using a OCBF, SCBF, EBF etc frame, which is very tedious if not
impossible. What do engineers do when they want to design or verify design to AISC 341-10?

Nothing done. Not even an update E-mail informing me when they expect to release an update
addressing this. A similar response to Pushover issue I had, on that they promise an urgent up after I
raise a number of issue. This is gone to development team which is like a black hole nothing come out
of it!

It has been implemented in the SS6 version that was released in June. Build No.20.07.11.33.

How can I get an example of the application of the Seismic Provisions (AISC 341) with the
Program?

That is, a Staad file in which it has placed the Design Parameters for the verification of the AISC
341
