Atoll Version / Setup (3)
Atoll 3.2.1 PRACH RSI setup

• add required data fields to the cells table

• add required data field to station template table

only required in case templates are used

Confidentiality Level - C2- Vodafone internal 6

Atoll Version / Setup (4)
Atoll 3.2.1 cells table setup (1) input for AFP to be defined by user

Number of required PRACH RSI:

- number of required PRACH / RSI for this cell, depending on the PRACH preamble format and cell size
- default / minimum value = 1
- values of 1 will be considered by AFP as 1 value
- none standard values will be considered just higher than the entered value (please see standard value list in the backup)

Confidentiality Level - C2- Vodafone internal 7

Atoll Version / Setup (5)
Atoll 3.2.1 cells table setup (2) input for AFP to be defined by user

PRACH RSI allocation status:

- Not allocated: the AFP considers a “Not Allocated” PRACH / RSI modifiable without cost
- Allocated: the AFP considers an “Allocated” PRACH / RSI modifiable but only if absolutely necessary
- Locked: the AFP considers a “Locked” PRACH / RSI not modifiable (required for border coordination)

Confidentiality Level - C2- Vodafone internal 8

Atoll Version / Setup (6)
Atoll 3.2.1 cells table setup (3) result of automated allocation by AFP

List of PRACH RSIs:

- the list of logical PRACH RSI allocated to the cells
- PRACH RSI are always consecutive values listed x-y, with “x” being the smallest and “y” being the largest

Relation types to be considered:

Existing neighbours: AFP will try to allocate different PRACH RSI to a cell and its neighbours (Vodafone = default)
Reuse distance: relations based on distance considered, cell within reuse distance will not get the same PRACH RSI
Default: minimum reuse distance to be considered
Interference matrix: select interference matrix to be considered (Vodafone: not required due to frequency reuse = 1)

AFP – automated PRACH RSI allocation (3)
AFP Setup (2) - Weights
Relation weights:

1st order neighbour: relative weight assigned to 1st order neighbour relation violation

2nd order neighbour: relative weight assigned to 2nd order neighbour relation violation

Neighbour of a common cell:

relative weight assigned to a violation of an indirect neighbour
relation between neighbours and common cells

Interference matrix: relative weight assigned to a interference matrix based relation

violation
(Vodafone = 0, due to frequency reuse = 1)

weights pending on network configuration, density Distance: relative weight assigned to distance based relation violation
and topology

Reset: reset values to default

Vodafone Requirements
Based on the PRACH RSI Allocation Evaluation different additional request have been addressed to Forsk:

Vodafone Requirements: Forsk Feedback:

• limitation to a user-defined range of RSI available with next release of Atoll 3.2.1
• group and domains required for border planned for Atoll 3.3.0
coordination

• RSI indicator to be listed separately can be done by custom field / Forsk can provide Macro if required
• add table field for restricted / unrestricted rejected by Forsk
scenario Forsk will disable defining not existing PRACH RSI length
Forsk will provide Macro to calculate cell range and number of
required PRACH RSI
• rename “PRACH RSI” table header also requested by other user, final Forsk decision open
• defining “Common Neighbours” ??? no need, will be fixed with next release
