Cub Cheers: Congratulations to the students in Mrs. Peter’s Class and the students in Ms. Wolfer’s Class they did our Friday
Announcements the past 2 weeks and were fabulous! Congratulations to the following students for outstanding behavior and
earned the Cox Cub of the Week: Kaimana Tashiro, Kaio Lapa, Marian Sotelo, Leyla Garcia, Evan Williams, David Weiss,
Chloi Carter, Lizzie Tomkowski, Madison Fesel, Serenity Terasa, Connor Gries, Violet Hernandez, Layla Zapalowski,
Agathe Gressier-Melnikova, Ashley Ortiz-Barcenas, Aroara Cabigas, Nariah King, Mariana Galvan, Tamanna Ansary,
Luna Oropeza, Evan Walker, Gustaf Espinoza, Lucy Swinger, and Jesse Cortez.

Did you know??? Last year we won the APPLECORE contest with 2,121 bookmarks and as of the end of January we already
have 1,796! We’ve almost beat our last-year turn in! Keep up the great work Cox Cubs! Only 2 more months to go!
Milers Announcements: Parents, a number of students are being dropped off at the Miler’s time and not attending Milers but
instead playing on the playground. This is not a before school care program. Students cannot be on campus prior to 8:55
am unless they’re participating in Milers. This has been such an increased concern, as there is no supervision for students
until 8:55 am that we are asking Milers to lock the gates back up at 8:45 am.

PTA News: DMC Family Dinner night next week! Peter Piper Pizza (Eastern) on Tuesday, 2/26, 4-8 pm. We need a lot of
parent help next year on our board positions. Positions like Box Tops, Yearbook, etc. If you’re interested in joining the PTA
Board there are a lot of positions available! Please email Sarah Gondek, our President at sgondek0518@gmail.com

Box Tops Announcements (2nd posting): Mrs. Kozhin, our Box Tops Chair Parent, has been working with the company and
their app to address the point values for each class in each grade level. The company is still accumulating our points/receipts
and we’re being counted for raising money for the receipts turned in. However, the company has advised us not to do a grade
level competition until they get their engineering department to fix the scoring/tally issue. Our school is doing great with ROO
points, please keep scanning your receipts and submitting them as you shop!

Specialist Trophy Winners for December & January (2nd posting): Congratulations to the following classrooms who had
outstanding behavior as a whole class and earned the top behavior points in all their specialist classes: Library, Art, Music,
and PE…5th Grade – Mr. Shafran, 4th grade – Ms. Myers, 3rd Grade – Mrs. Tanner, 2nd Grade – Ms. Lopez, 1st Grade – Ms.
Anderson, and Kindergarten – Mrs. Froehlich! Great job students!
