My Daily Adhkaar

After Fajr Prayer:

1. Al-hamdu lillah 100 times, La ilaha illallah 100 times, Allahu Akbar 100 times and Astaghfirullah
60 times – Saves from Fire:

The Prophet PBUH said: "Every one of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and
sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah (i.e., saying Allahu Akbar), praises Allah (i.e., Al-
hamdu lillah), declares Allah to be One (i.e., La ilaha illallah), Glorifies Allah (i.e., saying Allahu
Akbar), and seeks forgiveness from Allah (i.e., Astaghfirullah), and removes stone, or thorn, or bone
from people's path, and enjoins what is good and forbids from evil, to the number of those three
hundred and sixty joints, will walk that day having saved himself from the Fire" Sahih Muslim Book
12, Hadith 67

2. Supplication for Beneficial Knowledge, Halaal Rizk and Accepted deeds - 1 time:

‫ َو َ َﲻ ًﻼ ُﻣ َ َﻘ ًﻞ‬،‫ َو ِر ْزﻗًﺎ َﻃ ِ ّﻴ ًﺒﺎ‬،‫َ ِﻓ ًﻌﺎ‬ ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ْﺳ ُ َ ِﻠْ ًﻤﺎ‬

The Prophet PBUH used to say after Fajr prayer: “Allaahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman naafi‘an wa
rizqan tayyiban wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, a good
(halaal) provision and accepted deeds).” Ibn Maajah 925, Sahih by Albani

3. Reciting four words three times outweigh every other zikr:

‫ﻠْ ِﻘ ِﻪ َو ِرﺿَ ﺎ ﻧ َ ْﻔ ِﺴ ِﻪ َو ِزﻧ َ َﺔ َﻋ ْﺮ ِﺷ ِﻪ َو ِﻣﺪَ ا َد َ ِﳇ َﻤﺎ ِﺗ ِﻪ‬7َ ‫ َو ِ َﲝ ْﻤ ِﺪ ِﻩ َﺪَ َد‬:‫ا‬

ِ ‫ُﺳ= ْﺒ َ< َﺎن‬
It was narrated from Juwayriyah RA that the Prophet PBUH left her one morning when he prayed
Subh, (i.e., Fajr prayer) and she was in her prayer-place, then he came back after the forenoon had
come, and she was still sitting there. He PBUH said: "Are you still as you were when I left you?" She
said: "Yes." The Prophet said: "After I left you I said four words three times, which if they were
weighed against what you have said today, they would outweigh it: Subhân Allâhi wa bi-hamdihi
'adada khalqihi, wa ridâ nafsihi, wa zinata 'arshihi, wa midâda kalimâtih (Glory and praise is to
Allah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His
Throne and as much as the ink of His words)" Sahih Muslim 6913

1. Sayyidul Astaghfar 1 time - Morning and Evening - Saves from Fire:

The Prophet PBUH said: "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: 'Allahumma
anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana `Abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika
mastata'tu, A`udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa abu'u laka
bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta" “O Allah! You are my Lord. None
has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me and I am your servant and I abide by your
covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in you from the evil, which I have committed. I
acknowledge your favor upon me and I knowledge my sins, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive
sin except you.” The Prophet PBUH added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it,
and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody
recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of
Paradise." Sahih Bukhari 6306

2. Razitu billahi… 3 times - Allah will be pleased on the day of judgement:

The Prophet PBUH said, “If anyone says in the morning and evening three times: ““I am pleased with
Allah as (my) Lord, with Islam as (my) religion, and with Muhammad (pbuh) as (my) Prophet” then it
is a right on Allah that He should be pleased with him on the day of Judgement". Musnad Ahmad
23111 and 23112, Sahih Lighairih by Shoaib Al Aranout also Hasan Lighairih by Albani in Sahih
Targheeb 657

3. Bismillahil lazi... 3 times - Nothing will harm:

‫ ْر ِض َو َﻻ ِﰲ اﻟﺴ َﻤﺎ ِء َوﻫ َُﻮ‬c‫ﳾ ٌء ِﰲ ْا‬ ْ َ ‫اﲰ ِﻪ‬ Q ُ َ ‫ي َﻻ ﻳ‬R‫ ِا‬:‫ا‬

The Prophet PBUH said, "He who recites three times every morning and evening: `Bismillahil-ladhi la
yadurru ma`as-mihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami`ul-`Alim (In the Name of Allah
with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and
He is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing),' nothing will harm him.'' Tirmidhi 3399, Hasan Sahih by
Albani

4. Recite Last three Surah – 3 times – Suffice in everything:

Abdullah ibn Khubayb narrated: We went out on a rainy, extremely dark night seeking Allah’s
Messenger, that he might lead us in salah. I found him. He said to me, “Say!” But I did not say
anything. Then he said, “Say!” Again, I did not say anything. Once again he said, “Say!” I asked,
“What shall I say?” He said, “Say: Say: He is Allah the One and Only. (112:1) (Surah al-Ikhlas) al-
Falaq and an-Naas when you are in the evening and in the morning, three times. This will suffice you
in everything.” Tirmidhi 3586, Hasan by Albani

5. Lailahaillahu… Ten times – Angel protects from devil:

‫ﺮ‬rٌ ‫ﳽ ٍء ﻗَ ِﺪ‬َْ ‫ﰻ‬ ّ ِ ُ ‫َوﻫ َُﻮ َ َﲆ‬
The Prophet PBUH said: "Whoever says at the end of every Fajr prayer, while his feet are still folded,
before speaking: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone without partner, to Him
belongs all that exists, and to Him is the praise, He gives life and causes death, and He is powerful
over all things, (La llaha ilallah, Wahdahu La Sharika Lahu, Lahul- Mulku Wa Lahul-Hamdu, Yuhyi
Wa Yumitu, Wa Huwa 'Ala Kulli Shai'in Qadir)' ten times, then ten good deeds shall be written for
him, ten evil deeds shall be wiped away from him, ten degrees shall be raised up for him, and he shall
be in security all that day from every disliked thing, and he shall be in protection from Shaitãn, and
no sin will meet him or destroy him that day, except for associating partners with Allah” [Tirmidhi
3474, Hasan by Zubair Ali and Albani. Another narration has the wordings "After Salah Maghrib and
Morning" Musnad Ahmad 17990 and Sahih Targheeb 477, Hasan Lighairih by Al Aranout and
Albani]

The Prophet PBUH said: "Whoever says: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone,
without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the praise, He gives life and
causes death, and He is powerful over all things, (La llaha lllallãhu Wahdahu La Sharika Lahu, Lahul-
Mulku Wa Lahul-Hamdu, Yuhyi Wa Yumitu, Wa Huwa 'Ala Kulli Shai'in Qadir)' ten times at the end
of Al-Maghrib - Allah shall send for him protectors to guard him from Shaitan until he reaches

morning, and Allah writes for him ten good deeds, Mujibat and He wipes from him ten of the
destructive evil deeds, and it shall be for him the equal of freeing ten believing slaves" [Tirmidhi 3534,
Hasan by Zubair Ali and Albani. Another narration has the wordings "Morning" Musnad Ahmad
23568, Al Aranout said Hadith Sahih]

6. Supplication for help of Allah and set right all the affairs:

‫َ ِ ْﳫ ِﲏ ا َﱃ‬w ‫ َو َﻻ‬،ُ‫ ِﱐ ُﳇﻪ‬x ‫ " ْﺻ ِﻠ ْﺢ ِﱄ َﺷ‬،‫ﻴﺚ‬ ُ ‫ﻮ ُم ِ| َﺮ ْ َﲪ ِﺘ َﻚ " ْﺳ= َﺘ ِﻐ‬QZَ‫~ َ} ﻗ‬

‫ﻧ َ ْﻔ ِﴘ َﻃ َﺮﻓَ َﺔ َ ْ ٍﲔ‬
The Prophet PBUH advised Fatima RA to recite Morning and Evening: “Ya Hayyu, ya Qayyumu, bi-
rahmatika astaghitho aslah li sha’ni kullahu wala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘ain” ‘(O the Living, O the
Eternal, I seek help in Your grace set right all my affairs so give me not over to myself even for as little
as wink of an eye)’ [Mustadrak Al Hakim 2000 and Sahih al Jami 5820 and Sahih Targheeb 661]

7. Well being in this worlds and hereafter, and protection from all sides:

‫ َﺔ‬Zَ ‫ ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ " ْﺳ ُ َ اﻟْ َﻌ ْﻔ َﻮ َواﻟْ َﻌﺎ ِﻓ‬،‫ٓ ِﺧ َﺮ ِة‬c‫ ﻧْ َﻴﺎ َو ْا‬Q„‫ َﺔ ِﰲ ا‬Zَ ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ْﺳ ُ َ اﻟْ َﻌﺎ ِﻓ‬

،‫ َو"ٓﻣ ْﻦ َر ْو َ ِﺎﰐ‬،‫ ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ْاﺳ ُ ْﱰ َﻋ ْﻮ َر ِاﰐ‬،‫ِﰲ ِد ِﻳﲏ َو ُدﻧْ َﻴ َﺎي َو"ﻫ ِْﲇ َو َﻣ ِﺎﱄ‬
ِ
‫ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ‬،‫ َو َﻋ ْﻦ ﻳ َ ِﻤ ِﻴﲏ َو َﻋ ْﻦ ِ َﴰ ِﺎﱄ‬،‫ﻠْ ِﻔﻲ‬7َ ‫َو ْاﺣ َﻔ ْﻈ ِﲏ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺑ َ ْ ِﲔ ﻳَﺪَ ي َو ِﻣ ْﻦ‬
‫ َو" ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ " ْن •" ْﻏ َﺘﺎ َل ِﻣ ْﻦ َ ْﲢ ِﱵ‬،‫ﻓَ ْﻮ ِﰶ‬
Narrated Ibn Umar RA: ‘The Messenger of Allah PBUH never abandoned these supplications, every
morning and evening: Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah.
Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyah fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahum-mastur
'awrati, wa amin raw'ati wahfazni min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfi, wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimali,
wa min fawqi, wa 'audhu bika an ughtala min tahti (O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being
in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religious
and my worldly affairs. O Allah, conceal my faults, calm my fears, and protect me from before me
and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in You from being
taken unaware from beneath me)." Waki' (one of the narrators, explaining) said: "Meaning Al-Khasf
(disgrace)" [Ibn Majah 3871, Sahih by Zubair Ali and Al Aranout]

8. Asking Allah for sound health of body, eye and ear (3 times morning and evening):

ِ َ َ ‫ ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ َﺎ ِﻓ ِﲏ ِﰲ ﺑ‬،‫ ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ َﺎ ِﻓ ِﲏ ِﰲ َ ْﲰ ِﻌﻲ‬،‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ َﺎ ِﻓ ِﲏ ِﰲ ﺑَﺪَ ِﱐ‬
‫ ﺗُ ِﻌﻴﺪُ ﻫَﺎ‬،‫ اﻻ "ﻧ َْﺖ‬Cَ َ ‫ا‬

Narrated Ja'far bin MaimUn, who said: "Abdur- Rahmãn bin Abi Bakrah narrated to me, that he said to his
father: 'O my father, I hear you supplicating every morning (saying), "Allahumma, 'afini fi badani, Allahumma
'afini fi sam'i, Allahumma 'afint fi basari, La ilaha illã anta (O Allah, grant me soundness in my body; O Allah,
grant me soundness in my hearing; O Allah, grant me soundness in my sight, there is none worthy of
worship but You)," and you repeat it three times in the morning, and three times in the evening.' He said: 'I
heard the Messenger of Allah PBUH supplicating with (these words), and I like to follow his Sunnah" [Abu
Dawud 5090, Hasan by Albani and Al Aranout]

Supplications for increasing Rizk:

1. Seeking Refuge from withholding favor, decline of good health and Sudden Punishment:

,‫ َوﻓَ ْ“ ِة ِﻧ ْﻘ َﻤﺘِ َﻚ‬,‫ﺘِ َﻚ‬Zَ ‫ﻮ ِل َﺎ ِﻓ‬Q ‫ َو َ َﲢ‬,‫َا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َز َو ِال ِﻧ ْﻌ َﻤ ِﺘ َﻚ‬

‫ﲯ ِﻄ َﻚ‬ َ َ ِ ‫َو َ ِﲨﻴﻊ‬
Abd Allah b. 'Umar said that one of the supplications of the Prophet PBUH was: "Allahumma inni
a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matika, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatika, wa fuja'ati niqmatika, wa jami'i
sakhatika” (O Allah! I seek refuge in you from the withholding of your favor and in the decline of the
good health you have given, and in the suddenness of your punishment, and from all your anger)
Sunan Abi Dawud 1545, Sahih by Albani

2. Seeking forgiveness, mercy, being safe and sound and Rizq:

‫ َو َﺎ ِﻓ ِﲏ َو ْار ُز ْﻗ ِﲏ‬، ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﱄ َو ْار َ ْﲪ ِﲏ‬

A man said "O Prophet PBUH, what should I say when I ask of Allah?'' He said: "Say: Alllihumma-
ghfirli warhamni wa 'lifini warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, give me good health
and grant me provision)," and he held up his four fingers apart from the thumb and said: "These
combine your religious and worldly affairs." Ibn Majah 3845, Sahih by Albani

3. Correcting religious commitment and worldly affairs, seeking good and death as respite for evil:

‫ َو" ْﺻ ِﻠ ْﺢ ِﱄ ُدﻧْ َﻴ َﺎي اﻟ ِﱵ‬،‫ي ﻫ َُﻮ ِﻋ ْﺼ َﻤ ُﺔ " ْﻣ ِﺮي‬R‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ " ْﺻ ِﻠ ْﺢ ِﱄ ِد ِﻳﲏ ِا‬
‫ َوا ْﺟ َﻌ ِﻞ اﻟْ َﺤ َﻴﺎ َة ِز َ} َد ًة‬،‫ َو" ْﺻ ِﻠ ْﺢ ِﱄ " ٓ ِﺧ َﺮ ِﰐ اﻟ ِﱵ ِﻓﳱَﺎ َﻣ َﻌﺎ ِدي‬،‫ِﻓﳱَﺎ َﻣ َﻌ ِﺎﳾ‬
ٍّ َ ‫ﰻ‬
‫ﴍ‬ ّ ِ ُ ‫ ًﺔ ِﱄ ِﻣ ْﻦ‬qَ ‫ َوا ْﺟ َﻌ ِﻞ اﻟْ َﻤ ْﻮ َت َرا‬،‫ ْ ٍَﲑ‬7 ‫ﰻ‬
ّ ِ ُ ‫ِﱄ ِﰲ‬
“Allaahumma aslih li deeni alladhi huwa ‘ismatu amri, wa aslih li dunyaaya allati fiha ma’aashi, wa
aslih li aakhirati allati ilayha ma’aadi, waj’al al-hayaata ziyaadatan li fi kulli khayr, wa’l-mawta
raahatan li min kulli sharr (O Allaah, correct my religious commitment which is the foundation of my
life, and correct my worldly affairs in which is my livelihood, and grant me good in the Hereafter to
which is my return. Make my life a means of accumulating good, and make death a respite for me
from all evil).” Muslim 2720

4. Relieve from Debt:

َ ِ ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ْﻛ ِﻔ ِﲏ ِ َﲝ َﻼ ِ َ َﻋ ْﻦ َﺣ َﺮا ِﻣ َﻚ َو" ْﻏ ِﻨ ِﲏ ِﺑ َﻔ ْﻀ‬

‫ َﲻ ْﻦ ِﺳ َﻮ َاك‬p
Ali RA said to a mukaatib (slave who had entered into a contract of manumission) “Shall I not tell
you some words which the Prophet PBUH taught me? And if you have debt like the mountain of
Seer, Allaah will pay it off for you. He said: ‘Say: Allaahumma akfini bi halaalika ‘an haraamika wa
aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaaka (O Allaah, suffice me with what You have permitted so that that I
have no need of that which You have forbidden, and make me independent of means by Your bounty
so that I have no need of anyone besides You).’”Say: Tirmidhi 3563, Hasan by Albani

5. Relieve from debt and poverty:

ْ َ ‫ ٓ ِﺧ ُﺮ ﻓَﻠَ`ْ َﺲ ﺑ َ ْﻌﺪَ َك‬c‫ َو"ﻧ َْﺖ ْا‬،‫ﳾ ٌء‬

،‫ﳾ ٌء‬ َْ p َ َ ْ َ‫و ُل ﻓَﻠَ`ْ َﺲ ﻗ‬c‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ "ﻧ َْﺖ ْا‬
،‫ﳾ ٌء‬ْ َ ‫ َو"ﻧ َْﺖ اﻟْ َﺒﺎ ِﻃ ُﻦ ﻓَﻠَ`ْ َﺲ ُدوﻧ ََﻚ‬،‫ﳾ ٌء‬ ْ َ ‫َو"ﻧ َْﺖ اﻟﻈﺎ ِﻫ ُﺮ ﻓَﻠَ`ْ َﺲ ﻓَ ْﻮﻗَ َﻚ‬
‫ َو" ْﻏﻨِﻨَﺎ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟْ َﻔ ْﻘ ِﺮ‬،‫ َﻦ‬rْ „‫ا ْﻗ ِﺾ َﻋﻨﺎ ا‬

One of the du‘aa’s of the Prophet PBUH was: “O Allaah, You are the First and there is nothing before
You; You are the Last and there is nothing after You. You are the Manifest (al-Zaahir) and there is
nothing above You; You are the Hidden (al-Baatin) and there is nothing beyond You. Settle our debt
and spare us from poverty.” Muslim 2713

6. Seeking Refuge from Fire, Grave, Riches, Poverty, Dajjal, Laziness, Senility, Sin and Debt:

Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allah used to supplicate with these words: “O Allah, indeed, I
seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire, and the punishment of the Fire, and the punishment of
the grave, and the trial of the grave, and from the evil of the trial of the grave, and from the evil of
the trials of riches, and from the evils of the trials of poverty, and from the evil of the trial of the false
Masih. O Allah, wash my sins with water of ice and hail, and clease my heart of sins, as You cleansed
a white garment of filth, and distance me and my sins as You distanced between the east and the
west. O Allah, indeed, I seek refuge in You from laziness, senility, sin and debt. (Allahumma Inni
A’udhu Bika Min Fitnatin-Nar, Wa Adhabin-Nar, Wa Adhabil-Qabr, Wa Fitnatil-Qabr. Wa Min Sharri
Fitnatil-Ghina, Wa Min Sharri Fitnatil-Faqr, Wa Min Sharri Fitnatil-Masihid-Dajjal. Allahummaghsil
Khatayaya Bi-Ma’ith-Thalji Wal-Bardi, Wa Anqi Qalbi Minal-Khataya Kama Anqaitath-Thawbal-
Abyada Minad-Danas, Wa Ba’id Baini Wa Baina Khatayaya Kama Ba’adta Bainal-Mashriqi Wal
Maghrib, Allahumma Inni A’udhu Bika Min Al-Kasali Wal-Harami Wal-Ma’atham Wal-Maghram).”

 Regular Supplications for Removing Distress:

1. Supplication for making a difficult thing easy:

‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ َﻻ َﺳﻬْ َﻞ اﻻ َﻣﺎ َﺟ َﻌﻠْ َﺘ ُﻪ َﺳﻬ ًْﻼ َو"ﻧ َْﺖ َ ْﲡ َﻌ ُﻞ اﻟْ َﺤ ْﺰ َن َﺳﻬ ًْﻼ ٕا َذا ِﺷ¯ْ َﺖ‬

Narrated Anas RA that Prophet PBUH said: ‘O Allah there is no ease except in that which You have
made easy, and You make the difficulty easy, if You wish.' Ibn Hibban 970, Sahih by Albani

2. Relief from Anxiety, Distress and Sorrow:

mercy I hope, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye; rectify all my
affairs. There is no god except You)’” Abu Dawud, 5090, Sahih by Albani

3. Supplication that will remove sorrow and replace grief with Joy:

The Prophet PBUH said: "There is no slave who, when he is stricken by anxiety and sorrow, says ‘O
Allaah, I am Your slave and the son of Your male slave and female slave. My forelock is in Your hand
(i.e., You have complete mastery over me), Your command over me is forever executed, and Your

decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or
revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge
of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast,
and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety’ but Allaah will remove his sorrow and
replace his grief with joy." The people said: "O Messenger of Allaah, we should learn these words."
He said: "The one hears them should learn them" Sahih by Albani in Silsilah Sahiha 199

4. Relief from Worry, Grief, Incapacity, Laziness, Cowardice, Miserliness, Debt and being overcome
by men:

‫ َواﳉ ْ ُِﱭ‬،‫ َواﻟ َﻌ ْﺠ ِﺰ َواﻟ َﻜ َﺴ ِﻞ‬،‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟ َﻬ ّ ِﻢ َواﳊ ََﺰ ِن‬

The Prophet PBUH used to say: “Allaahumma inni a’oodhu bika min al-hammi wa’l-hazani a’l’ajzi
wa’l-kasali wa’l-jubni wa’l-bukhli wa dala’ il-dayn wa ghalbat al-rijaal (O Allaah, I seek refuge with
You from worry, grief, incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, from being heavily in debt and
from being overcome by men)” Bukhari 6369

5. Supplication of Prophet Yunus PBUH turns distress or grief into Joy:

‫ اﻻ "ﻧ َْﺖ ُﺳ= ْﺒ َ<ﺎﻧ ََﻚ ا ِ ّﱐ ُﻛ ْﻨ ُﺖ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟﻈﺎ ِﻟ ِﻤ َﲔ‬Cَ َ ‫َﻻ ا‬

The Prophet PBUH said to his companions: "Shall I not tell you some words which, if distress or grief
befalls any of you and he offers this prayer (supplication), it will bring him joy? It is the du‘aa’ of
Dhoo’l-Noon (i.e. Yunus or Jonah): ‘There is no god but You, Glory to You; verily I was one of the
wrongdoers.’" Sahih al Jami 2605

6. When Felt Afraid of someone and seeking refuge from their evil:

‫ﴍ ِﻋ َﺒﺎ ِد ِﻩ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َ َﳘ َﺰ ِات‬ ِ ّ َ ‫ اﻟﺘﺎﻣ ِﺔ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻏَﻀَ ِﺒ ِﻪ َو‬:‫ا‬

ِ ‫" ُﻋﻮ ُذ ِ| َ ِﳫ َﻤ‬
‫ون‬

The Messenger of Allaah PBUH used to teach his Sahaabah to say these words when they felt
afraid: “A’oodhu bi kalimaat-illaah il-taammati min ghadabihi wa sharri ‘ibaadihi wa min hamazaat
alshayaateeni wa an yahduroon (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allaah from His wrath and from

the evil of His slaves and from the evil promptings of the devils and from their presence).”Abu Dawud,
3893, Hasan by Albani.

Abu Burdah ibn ‘Abd-Allaah narrated from his father that when the Prophet PBUH was afraid of
some people he would say, “Allaahumma inna naj’aluka fi nuhoorihim wa na’oodhu bika min
shuroorihim (O Allaah, we place You before them and we seek refuge in You from their evil).” Abu
Dawud, 1537, Sahih by Albani

7. Seeking protection from evil diseases:

‫ﺳ َﻘﺎم‬cٔ ‫ ا‬Ç=‫ و ِﻣﻦ ﺳ‬،‫ واﳉُﺬا ِم‬،‫اﻟﱪ ِص واﳉُﻨﻮن‬

Narrated Anas RA: The Prophet PBUH would say: "Allahumma! Inni a'üdhu bika min al-barasi wal-
jununi wal-judhãmi wa say' il-asqãm" "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leprosy, and from
madness, and from paralysis, and from evil diseases" [Abu Dawud 1554, Sahih by Albani and Al
Aranout]

After Every Fard Prayer:

1. Ayatal Kursi – 1 time – After obligatory prayer – Enter Paradise:

The Prophet PBUH said: “Whoever recites Aayat-ul-Kursi at the completion of every prescribed prayer
will have be nothing standing between him and his entering the Paradise except for death” Jaami’
Sagheer 11410, Sahih by Albani also Silsilah Sahiha 972

2. Tasbih Fatima – 30 times after prayer (and 100 times before sleeping) - Enter paradise:

After Prayer - 10 times subhanallah, 10 times Alhamdulillah and 10 times Allahuakbar

Before Sleeping – 33 times subhanallah, 33 times alhamdullillah and 34 times Allahuakbar

The Prophet PBUH said: “There are two qualities or characteristics which will not be returned by any
Muslim without his entering Paradise. While they are easy, those who act upon them are few. One
should say: "Glory be to Allah" ten times after every prayer, "Praise be to Allah" ten times and "Allah
is Most Great" ten times. That is a hundred and fifty on the tongue, but one thousand and five
hundred on the scale. When he goes to bed, he should say: "Allah is Most Great" thirty-four times,
"Praise be to Allah" thirty-three times, and Glory be to Allah thirty-three times, for that is a hundred
on the tongue and a thousand on the scale. (He said:) I saw the Apostle of Allah PBUH counting them
on his hand. The people asked: Apostle of Allah! How is it that while they are easy, those who act

upon them are few?, He replied: The Devil comes to one of you when he goes to bed and he makes
him sleep, before he utters them, and he comes to him while he is engaged in prayer and calls a need
to his mind before he utters them” Abu Dawud 5065, Sahih by Albani

3. After every Prayer, Supplication seeking refuge from Kufr, Poverty and Torment of grave:

‫ َو َ َﺬ ِاب اﻟْ َﻘ ْ ِﱪ‬، ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ ْاﻟ ُﻜ ْﻔ ِﺮ َواﻟْ َﻔ ْﻘ ِﺮ‬

Narrated Muslim bin Abi Bakrah: "My father used to say following every prayer: 'Allahumma inni a-
udhu bika min al-kufri wal-faqri wa 'adhab al-qabr. (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from Kufr,
poverty, and the torment of the grave)' and I used to say them (these words). My father said: 'O my
son, from whom did you learn this?' I said: 'From you. He said: "The Messenger of Allah PBUH used
to say them following the prayer” Sunan Nasa'i 1347, Hasan by Albani

Before Taslim in the Prayer:

1. Seek Forgiveness:

‫ُﻮب اﻻ "ﻧ َْﺖ ﻓَﺎ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ‬َ ‫ﻧ‬R‫ا‬Q ‫ َو َﻻ ﻳ َ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ‬، ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ َﻇﻠَ ْﻤ ُﺖ ﻧ َ ْﻔ ِﴘ ُﻇﻠْ ًﻤﺎ َﻛﺜِ ًﲑا‬
ِ‫اﻟﺮﺣ ُﲓ‬$ ‫ ِﱄ َﻣ ْﻐ ِﻔ َﺮ ًة ِﻣ ْﻦ ِﻋ ْﻨ ِﺪ َك َو ْار َ ْﲪ ِﲏ ا َﻧﻚ "ﻧ َْﺖ اﻟْ َﻐ ُﻔ ُﻮر‬$

Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq RA said to the Prophet PBUH: “Teach me a du’aa’ that I may say in my prayer.”
He said: “Say: ‘Allaahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman katheeran wa laa yaghfir ul-dhunoob illa
anta, faghfir li maghfiratan min ‘indaka warhamni, innaka anta al-Ghafoor al-Raheem (O Allaah,
indeed I have wronged myself greatly, and there is none who forgives sins besides You. So grant me
forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for you are the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful).’” Bukhari
834

2. Seek refuge from four trials – Hell-Grave-Life and Death-Dajjal:

‫ َﲌ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َ َﺬ ِاب اﻟْ َﻘ ْ ِﱪ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ ِﻓ ْﻨَ ِﺔ اﻟْ َﻤ ْﺤ َﻴﺎ‬Ëَ َ ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َ َﺬ ِاب‬

The Prophet PBUH said: “When any one of you utters tashahhud (in prayer) he must seek refuge with
Allah from four (trials) and should thus say: "O Allah! I seek refuge with Thee from the torment of the
Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trial of life and death and from the evil of the trial of
Masih al-Dajjal" (Antichrist)” Sahih Muslim, Book 5, Hadith 162

3. Ask for Paradise and Seek refuge from Hell – 3 times - in Tashahhud:

‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ِ ّﱐ " ْﺳ ُ َ اﻟْ َﺠﻨ َﺔ َو" ُﻋﻮ ُذ ﺑ َِﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟﻨ ِﺎر‬

The Prophet PBUH said to a person: "What do you say in prayer?" He replied: I first recite
tashahhud, and then I say: O Allah, I ask Thee for Paradise, and I seek refuge in Thee from Hell-Fire,
Abu Dawud 792, Sahih by Albani.

The Prophet PBUH said: “Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: “O Allah, admit
him to Paradise, and whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: “O Allah, save
him from Hell.” Ibn majah 4340, Sahih by Albani. The wordings of the supplication to be recited in
tashahhud is in Abu Dawud 792, Sahih by Albani

Sleeping time:

1. Surah Mulk – 1 time – Prevent punishment of grave:

The Prophet PBUH said: "Surah Al Mulk is a prevention of the punishment of the grave" Silsilah
Sahiha 1140, and in another narration He PBUH said: “It will intercede on behalf of its companion
until he is forgiven” Abu Dawud 1400, Hasan by Zubair Ali

2. Ayatal Kursi - 1 time – A guard from Allah protect you all night:

Narrated Abu Huraira: “…When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will
be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near
you till dawn." (When the Prophet heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night)
told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan." Bukhari, Book 6, Volume 61, Hadith 530

3. Last two verses of Surah Baqrah – 1 time – Suffice for him:

The Prophet PBUH said: “Anyone who recites the two verses at the end of Surah al-Baqara at night,
they would suffice for him” Bukhari, 4723 and Muslim, 807

The Prophet PBUH said: “Allaah inscribed a book two thousand years before He created the heavens
and the earth, from which the last two aayahs of Soorat al-Baqarah were revealed. If they are recited
for three nights, no shaytaan (devil) will remain in the house” Sahih al Jami 1799 also Tirmidhi 2882

1. Supplication of Witr:

Al-Hasan said: "The Prophet PBUH taught me some words to say in witr in Qunut: Allahumma

ihdini fiman hadayta wa 'afini fiman afayta wa tawallani fiman tawallayta wa barik li fima a'tayta,
wa qini sharra ma qadayta, fa innaka taqdi wa la yuqda 'alayk, wa innahu la yadhilluman walayta,
tabarakta Rabbana wa at'alayt (O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me
among those You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in
friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and save me from the evil of what You have
decreed. For verily You decree and none can influence You; and he is not humiliated whom You have
befriended. Blessed are You, O Lord, and Exalted.)'" Nasa'i 1745, Sahih by Zubair Ali

2. Between Wudu – For forgiveness, Grave protection and Blessing in Rizq:

‫ َو َ_ ِركْ ِﱄ ِﰲ ِر ْز ِﰶ‬، ‫ َو َو ِّﺳ ْﻊ ِﱄ ِﰲ د َِاري‬، ‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﱄ َذﻧ ِْﱯ‬

"Allahummaghfirli zambi wa wasili fi dari wa barik li fi rizki" (O Allah, forgive me my sin, and expand
for me my abode, and bless me in what You have provided me) Abu Yaala 7273, Isnaad Sahih by
Hussain Saleem Asad and Albani in Tamam Mina 1/94

3. After Wudu – 1 time – All eight doors of paradise open for him:

the ablution, he utters the words: I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, He has no
associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and His Messenger, all the eight doors of
Paradise will be opened for him; he may enter (through) any of them. Sunan Abi Dawud 169 Sahih
by Albani

4. Supplication between Two Prostrations:

‫ا(ﻠﻬُﻢ ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﱄ َو ْار َ ْﲪ ِﲏ َو َﺎ ِﻓ ِﲏ َوا ْﻫ ِﺪ ِﱐ َو ْار ُز ْﻗ ِﲏ‬

Ibn Abbas RA reported that the Prophet would say between the two prostrations: Allahummaghfirli
Warhamni wa 'afini, wahdini, wazuqni (O Allah! Forgive me, and have mercy on me, and grant me
good health, and guide me, and give me sustenance.) Sunan Abu Dawud 850, Hasan by Zubair Ali

Daily Recitation of Qur’an (at night):

Narrated Abdullah bin Amr al Aas RA: The Prophet PBUH said: "Whoever recites ten Verses (at
night), he will not be written among the heedless. And whoever recites one hundred Verses (at night),
he will be written among the devout. And whoever recite a thousand Verses (at night), he will be
written among the prosperous" Abu Dawud 1398, Sahih by Albani

Abu Sa’eed Khudri said: "Whoever recites ten verses at night will be written among the one who
Remembers Allah, Whoever recites a hundred verses at night will be written among the Obedient
(Devout). Whoever recites five hundred to thousand verses will have the morning while having a
Qintaar from the rewards" It was asked, What is Qintaar? He said: "Gold equal in quantity of a bull"
Darimi 3501, Hussain Saleem Asad said Sahih Maukoof. In another narration, the Prophet PBUH
explained Qintaar as "It is twelve thousand 'Uqiyah, each 'Uqiyah of which is better than what is
