INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS PRACTICUM?

A practicum is a graduate level course, often in a specialized field of study, that is designed

to give students supervised practical application of a previously or concurrently studied

theory. Practicums are common for education and social work majors. Practicums (also

called internships or work placement programs) are designed to provide students with

practical work experience. They emphasize the importance of learning by doing. They’re

where students can transfer their knowledge to actual work. Practicums can also open many

opportunities to network and make important contacts within the industry. Practicums are

field experiences that allow a student to observe and document how working professionals

perform their job responsibilities. Students will also participate to a limited extent in

performing tasks under supervision by program professors and on-site staff. Concurrently,

students enroll in a course which outlines the expectations and requirements of the

practicum.

companies in the Philippines. Founded by Rajeev Agarwal and Parvez Khan in Los

Angeles, California as an International Call Center, Sales Rain is now making its way to

be among the leading Business Process Outsourcing that offers multichannel support and

It was in the same year that the Company formed their first Call Center in India, which

specialized in Telecommunications. Through our commitment to achieve continued

excellence, high standard services and committed team, Sales Rain realized its promising

growth from 90 seats to 250 seats, delivering highly successful campaigns in Sales and

Telemarketing.

The footprints noting Philippine Outsourcing working its way as one of the leading BPO

hubs in Southeast Asia, paved its way in 2009 for the company to widen its opportunities in

Sales and Customer Care, Seat Leasing, Outsourcing and Virtual Assistance, as we

acquired our very first delivery center in Makati City, the financial center of the country,

which consists of the highest multinational and local corporations, major banks and the

trading floor of Philippines Stocks exchange.

On the basis of outstanding service record, collaborative partnerships, and commitment to

its business objectives, our company rapidly expanded its operations across Metro Manila

when it gave birth to another location in March 2012, boasting 450 seats in the heart of one

of the earliest business hubs of BPO in the Philippines located in Eastwood City, Libis,
Quezon City. By giving value to our people and our client, we get to deliver great

experience and exemplary results as our workforce continued to expand and acquired

delivery centers in two consecutive years, 2014-2015.

Today, Sales Rain has a team of almost 300 experienced and dedicated employees working

in different sites, supporting local and international clients around the world as we continue

to develop long-term relationship with our people, our clients and partners to put on

unparalleled service delivery excellence.

Within the busy roads of EDSA, filled with cars and a skyline full of skyscrapers,

nestles one of the most prominent central business districts (CBD) in Metro

Manila; Ortigas Center.

Made up of 4 major cities; Makati City, Mandaluyong City, Pasig City and

III. SUMMARY OF PRACTICUM EXPERIENCES

SUMMARY

My greatest accomplishment in the job is I learned how to have a good communication

with different people because there is a time in our company clients becomes angry, happy

and angry again so that’s why I learned how to adjust with different people.

The most difficult situation that I experienced in my on the job training is; when we went

in Exxa Tower. to deploy 400 computers for ABS-CBN call center which is took a long

time before we finished it. I was so tired at that time because while I assembling Computers,

our clients Calling me for assistance in their PC so I got to multitask while I assembling, I

fixing their problem in their PC. That was the most difficult situation I experienced.

The reasons why I feel that I need to work on these are; I am good at it, appropriate to work

on it, knowledgeable on it and suitable to my skill that’s all.

If you will ask my immediate supervisor about how he will describe me while I am on my

on the job training. he would answer you that I am good trainee specially in times of;

Attendance and Punctuality, Quality of work, Cooperation, Comprehension and Work

habit.

I will tell you who is the best Manager that I ever had he is Sir Vhal Francia because he’s

my first Manager.
