INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN OF PROPOSED CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) PROGRAM

I. Course/Program Title: Enhancing Competence of Elementary and Secondary Teachers in Utilizing Pedagogical
Approaches

II. Course/Program Brief description:


In support to Regional Memorandum No. 11 s. 2015 entitled Pedagogical Approaches and as mandated by RA
10533, Calatagan District will hold this Five-day In-Service Training for the 495 teachers comprising the Elementary and
Secondary teachers which will have a parallel session. Based on the result of the previous teachers’ needs and analysis through
the Electronic Assessment Tool (E-SAT) 75% among the elementary teachers and 80% among the secondary teachers needed
the seminar/workshop about the proper application of the pedagogical approaches in everyday teaching. This particular training
aims to develop knowledge of teachers in different pedagogical approaches and develop Daily Lesson Log or lesson exemplars
applying 2C-2I-1R. Furthermore, this training will enhance their teaching ability in dealing with their day to day teaching episodes.

IV. Particular Continuing Professional Competencies:

This training program is a 3 day seminar workshop which will be attended by all teachers of Calatagan District both
elementary and secondary. Elementary teachers composed of 282 teachers while secondary composed of 213 from
Calatagan National High School, Lucsuhin National High School and Senior High School in Calatagan. This training will
Demonstrate accurate knowledge on pedagogical approach such as 2C-2I-1R (Constructive, Collaborative, Integrative,
Inquiry-based and Reflective). Furthermore, this will improve the teaching competency Develop DLL (Daily Lesson Log)
or lesson exemplars applying 2C-2I-R for instructional material to be utilized in the actual classroom instructions across
all learning areas, and design enhanced instructional activities using different approaches to engage the learner in
interactive classroom situations leading to quality learning.
