JOB DESCRIPTION
General Information

Essential Duties:

Plans, directs and carries out policies relating to all phases of personnel
activity. Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude
toward company goals. Keeps record of insurance coverage, retirement plan,
and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and
terminations. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance
carrier. Conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive
wage rate. Prepares budget of personnel operations. May be responsible for
evaluating and suggesting new benefit or compensation structures or
changes to existing plans. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals.

Marginal Duties:

Provides establishment personnel assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving


human relations and work performance problems within establishment to facilitate
communication and improve employee human relations skills and work performance:
Talks informally with establishment personnel and attends meetings of managers,
supervisors, and work units to facilitate effective interpersonal communication among
participants and to ascertain human relations and work related problems that adversely
affect employee morale and establishment productivity. Evaluates human relations and
work related problems and meets with supervisors and managers to determine effective
remediation techniques, such as job skill training or personal intervention, to resolve
human relations issues among personnel.

Other Duties:

Assist Foundry team in areas of employee relations and safety matters.

Education and Training

Undergraduate degree in HR or related discipline preferred. Prior HR

experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Computer knowledge
and skills a must.

Financial Responsibility

Work in conjunction with COO and CEO on matters of budgetary issues and
wage and compensation matters.

Contacts

Day to Day contact with employees and suppliers.

Physical Effort

Some light lifting is required. Frequent sitting and typing. Occasion walking and
stairs.

Frequent use of computer.
