Fosroc® Nitocote Nano SC constructive solutions
Description
Nitocote Nano SC is a highly effective hydrophobic
impregnation based on nanotechnology. Its viscosity similar
to the one of water so it can deeply penetrate any capillaries
that no elastomer or polymer can reach, therefore, it provides
an excellent protection against water and other corrosive
agents without any changes to original appearance of the
substrate.
Concrete panels, facades, fences and precast structures Fosroc offers a comprehensive range of high performance,
high quality repair, and maintenance and construction
Concrete bricks, tiles, hollow blocks, light weight blocks products. In addition, Fosroc offers a technical support

transportation to hospital. Bring these instructions.
5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENT
Extinguishing substances are: carbon dioxide, foam, chemical powder. For product loss or leakage that has not caught fire, water spray can
be used to disperse flammable vapours and protect those trying to stem the leak.

Do not use jets of water. Water is not effective for putting out fires but can be used to cool containers exposed to flames to prevent explosions.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Keep separate from food, feedstuffs, fertilisers and other sensitive material. Store in a demarcated bunded area to prevent release to drains
and/or watercourses.

Method Statement
Nitocote Nano SC
_Section A : General Comments___
It is suggested that, for temperatures above 35°C, the following guidelines are adopted as good working
practice:
(i) Store materials in a cool (preferably temperature controlled) environment, avoiding exposure to
direct sunlight.
(ii) Keep equipment cool, arranging shade protection if necessary. It is especially important to keep
cool those surfaces of the equipment which will come into direct contact with the material itself.
(iii) Try to avoid application during the hottest times of the day, arrange temporary shading as
necessary.
(iv) Make sufficient material, plant and labour available to ensure that application is a continuous
process.
Equipment
Fosroc operates a policy to encourage the use, where possible, of approved or licensed applicators. This
ensures that repairs are completed satisfactorily so that the long term performance of the materials is
assured. For contractors who wish to apply the materials themselves Fosroc is also able to offer
technical assistance and training, either on-site or at its Training Centre in Dubai.
__Section B : Application Method__
1.1 All surfaces should be dry and free from contamination such as oil, grease, loose particles, decayed
matter, moss, algal growth, laitance and all traces of mould release oils and curing compounds. This is
best achieved by lightly grit blasting the surface.
2.0 Application
2.1 Nitocote Nano SC is designed to be applied by spray, brush or roll and should be applied at one or two
coats depends on the porosity of the substrate, Nitocote Nano SC could be also mixed in cementitious
mixes by replacing 1/3 of the water in the original mix design.
2.2 Nitocote Nano SC can be applied on existing surfaces by a roller, a brush or spraying. Maximum
Water repellency is achieved 24 hours after application. No other modification is necessary. only
On very absorptive surfaces re-application may be required, to be applied within 3 hours from the
First coat application.
2.3 Nitocote Nano SC should not be disturbed by water for the first 24 hours after application.
3.0 Cleaning
3.1 Clean the tools and equipment using only tap water, after use.
This method statement is offered by Fosroc as a ‘standard proposal’ for the application of Nitocote
Nano SC. It remains the responsibility of the Engineer to determine the correct method for any given
application.
Where alternative methods are to be used, these must be submitted to Fosroc for approval, in writing,
prior to commencement of any work. Fosroc will not accept responsibility or liability for variations to the
above method statement under any other condition.
