Introduction:

In 1990s the twisted pair network cabling is eventually at most popular

networking until this time due to its standard cabling sharing of data speed which is 10
Mbps. It uses Category 3 cable or Cat3. Later part, it followed by the most improved
version, having a speed of 100Mbps. This networking uses category 5 cable and RJ45.
The cable contains 8 wires in accordance to the connection design which is straight
through and crossover connection.

The Twisted pair has two primary types the Unshielded Twisted Pair
(UTP) and Shielded Twisted Pair (STP). The focus of this laboratory experiment is on
UPT cables and how to crimp them accordance to what is mention above.

Modern Ethernet cables use UTP wiring due to its lower cost, while STP cabling
can be found in some other types of networks such as Fiber Distributed Data Interface
(FDDI).
