Strategies:
Educators have their own team and supervised by the TMs or Team Managers. TMs' job is to
always update educators of the changes in policies and who takes care of any disputes that may come from
the educators. TMs’ act like middle men between the company and the educators. They keep on updates to
the educators and they are the ones who make performance report to the company.
Educators have a referral strategy that clients can comment on their services so that they can be
preferred to others as well while maintaining the client’s loyalty. The business analyzes and gather
resources to create a lesson plan. Part of their strategy is there are educational videos of various areas, from
academic subjects to historical documentaries. Apart from videos from diverse sources, Acadsoc has also
invited passionate tutors of different expertise and help them make their video lectures.

How Did Acadsoc Start?

 Acadsoc began in 2010, when the co-founders Anson and Alice, who studied and lived in the United
Kingdom for more than 10 years, began to implement their strong belief in the benefits of British
education and their passion for their country into the concept that is Acadsoc.
 They developed an online platform to connect students to tutors for tutoring at anytime from
anywhere, with the hope of improving access to education on a global scale. From this, our Acadsoc
Online Education one-stop shop came into being.
 The co-founders invited many reputable and professional tutors to join Acadsoc to contribute to
building a high quality online tutoring service.
 Today, we have millions of online tutors and learners from all around the world including services
which cover online tutoring and the option to study abroad and to consult other tutors.

Status: Currently the business is positive and profitable. It caters a lot of students as well.
Challenges:
1. Team managers has no unity of idea and strategies being applied to each of their team.
2. There is no specific policy.
3. Tutoring does not work so well for questions that require long or detailed answers or calculations
that are normally done on paper.

Strengths:
1. They have teaching tools which gives opportunity for the student to choose the most convenient
for them.
2. Tutors are experts at their designated subjects and adept at communicating their knowledge to their
students.
3. Online tutoring is at a lower cost than face-to-face tuition.
4. 24/7 Customer service support.
5. Achieves a collaborative learning
6. Provides considerable customization of learning related to the needs of the learner
7. More students are catered due to low cost, especially those who can’t afford school education
8. Staff are more responsible and independent
9. Submit an assessment records on TM's to show how well their performance are
10. Accessible to clients anytime anywhere
Weaknesses:
1. Since the only communication is through skype between TMs and teachers, there can be a
miscommunication between them and there were some TMs who are not responsible enough to
respond right away even if the concern of the teacher is urgent.
2. There are policies however it is not precise which is why educators have different interpretation
from the understanding of TMs. Because of this, teachers are confused what should they do during
some unusual circumstances.
3. The limited, inadequate or unattainable character of the learning customization
4. Insufficient compatibility between the technological design of the service and the psychological
component of the learning process
5. Communication is not as strong as face to face tutor
6. Internet connectivity
7. Cannot do anything if the learners don’t want to study. The result will be less efficient and effective
type of learning since no one is monitoring them.
8. Cannot reach people who live in rural places. Most of the provinces doesn’t have internet
connection and experiencing electricity problem.
9. Language barrier between "teachers and student" " TM's and teacher"
10. Maintaining qualified tutors
Opportunities:
1. Radical transformation of all aspects of education
2. Relatively lower costs of services
3. May increase business due to 24/7 costumer service report
4. Learners will not pay for miscellaneous fees or lab fees or other fees universities.
5. Can book anytime to learn.
6. Flexibility to work from anywhere in the world
7. Plans to expand networking in Northern Luzon
8. Use the strength of people to find partnerships with academic institutions that may have students
who need tutoring
9. Funding available for tutoring or a line item in their own budget for this service
10. Earn extra revenue by creating tutor videos
Threats:
1. Exaggerating the positive role of technology generates negative effects such as: the danger of
ignoring the student, the possibility of producing an entire generation "of noncritical thinkers"
2. Insufficient motivation for engaging support
3. Cost Competition to other businesses
4. Companies in this kind of business were already known to the public that learners tend to look for.
5. Complaints from students that might affect the businesses status.
6. Rents are too high for an office
7. Can’t use the facilities at local schools for space
8. Website may be attacked by hackers
