Narrative Report

I started my on-the-job training at Optimum Management and Business Agency last July 1, 2014.
Miss Donna Aguirre became my supervisor. She was very accommodating and guided me on every task
assigned to me. She also welcomed every question I asked. My schedule was every Mondays and
Tuesdays at 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. But every time we have classes, they allow us to have an early out
which gives us time allowance for our transportation.

During my first day, I have already met all the employees including Miss Leila Cruz, the owner. I
have participated on their activity which is to pick a quality that suits you. I have picked and wrote
“motivated” in a temporary badge that must be worn on that day. Miss Donna gave me all the tasks I
need to accomplish for the month. This includes the Cash Disbursement Books of Solar Mgmt. Services,
Le Massage Inc., Babyland Plus Inc., Vanguard and Whitescape Inc. I started by updating the CDB of Solar
Mgmt. Services from October – December 2013. Next is the CDB of Babyland Plus, Inc. from June –
August 5, 2014.

On my second and third week, I have updated again the CDB of Babyland from August 5, 2013 –
April 2014 and also the CDB of Vanguard from February – April 16, 2014. On the fourth week, we asked
permission to Miss Marge, if we can add one more day on our schedule because we were getting late
on our total hours to complete and it was granted. I have also finished updating the CDB of Vanguard
from April 21 to 30, 2013, CDB of Whitescape from January – April 2014, CDB of Bideca from August –
December 2013 and CDB of Solar April 2012. I learned how to update, generate and save excel file of
VAT relief. I have finished the reliefs of CURA, Dr. Jison and RS Corp., sales and purchases from April –
June 2014. I also encoded bank statement of SARSA from June 1 to 30, 2014. And I also started updating
General Ledger of Whitescape from October 2013 – April 2014.

On my fifth week, I updated the CDB of Solar from April – December 2012 and CDB of Babyland
from May – June 2014. On the sixth week, I organized the stockcards OR, transmittal and AR inventory. I
also stamped OMSBA and Optimus Works check vouchers. I also updated GL of Solar from February –
December 2012, Cash Receipts Book of Whitescape from January – May 2014 and summarized on excel
the CDB entries of Le Massage January - July 2012.

On my seventh week, I also updated again the CDB of Vanguard, CDB of Babyland and GL of
Solar. I also went to Brgy. Hall of Malitlit for the Brgy. Clearance of Holy Carabao and to BPI-Balibago to
submit and follow-up online enrolment form. I also got the privilege to be familiar with BIR forms when I
was asked by Miss Marge to fill up BIR form 2000, 0605 and 1903 and affidavit of no rental of Events &
Elements Inc.

Same tasks were always assigned to me that’s why I got really familiar with updating books of
accounts and the entries of it. It was until my last month that I have given different task after I’ve done
updating the BOA. Miss Marge asked me to transmit BIR forms while Miss Kai asked to encode Eidriht
VA Corp. Petty Cash Fund, Sales Invoice and Cash Disbursements Receipts, Bideca Corp. August reports
and Centerline Petty Cash Fund, and Cash Disbursements Receipts. My last few days were allocated for
updating the General Ledger of Vanguard. Our last day felt like it was not because we were not
complete in the office but still we (me and Ivy) were able to give the token of appreciation to all of
them. I felt happy and relieved that they really appreciate it.

This OJT have helped me a lot. OMSBA serves as my stepping stone and an open door for me to
see what will be my work after I graduated. It gives me an idea and helps me become expose about the
things I need to do in work. Unfortunately, time and schedule have been our enemies because it was
really hard balancing our time for OJT and academics. I recommend adjusting the timing of OJT in our
curriculum to be added in summer so as to better focus on our coming Evaluation Exams. Overall, this
OJT was definitely worth it.
