Assignment: You are to write a Literary Analysis essay of the
Shakespeare play you’ve just finished reading. Choose one of the
following prompts:

A. Examine all the couples in the play (Lysander and Hermia,


Demetrius and Helena, Oberon and Titania, Theseus and
Hippolyta) and analyze at least three of their relationships in
detail. By examining characters and how they develop over the
course of a text, plot, and irony, answer: What is Shakespeare
saying about love through A Midsummer Night’s Dream? Use
the text to support your answer.
