♦ MANAGERIAL
Library Manager, a collaborative team member, sharing responsibility for building supervision, working
towards ensuring the proper maintenance and organization of the library and its collections, and in
helping the library provide a welcoming, comfortable, and safe place for the community.
Hires, trains, supervises, and monitors the performance of the branch staff. Prepares work schedules
and assigns duties for staff in circulation. Terminates employees when necessary.
Perform general circulation activities like checking library materials in and out, renewing items,
placing holds, registering patrons, shelving materials, processing overdues, and collecting fees and
copier money to send periodically to main library.
Advises, assists, and trains library staff and patrons in the use of all library resources
Teen Lead Librarian, acting as the liason for teen services while writing monthly and quarterly reports.
Attends multiple montly meetings and trainings pertaining to the position while implementing new and
innovative programs and making community contacts.

Member of the hiring committee in which to sit in and conduct all interviews.
Conduct employee evaluations. Acts as Manager on Duty to 20+ employees daily including
schedule changes, projection of daily work and supervision of overall daily activities.
♦ COMMUNITY
Keeping all material appealing to community through displays and material that is ordered. Being
very pleasant and having made relationships with patrons.
Involved in Young Adult and Adult programming. Involved in community outreach, promoting the
library and special library features, including but not limited to social media such as Facebook,
Blogging, flyers, brochures, and web design.
♦ Special Department
Talking Books Librarian – Maintain collection of National Library
Services for the Blind recorded books for a subregional branch and
supervise shelving, cataloging, mailing and maintenance. Maintain
contact will all 270 patrons and all orders.
Teens (Teen Lead Librarian) – Significant experience with
community outreach through teen programming and being a member
of multiple teams such as the ecard initiative. Developed new
programs based around lifelong learning, literacy, educational support,
technology skill-building and workforce development. Has been able to
not only maintain but grow and large teen community with current
branch.
