POLICY ON GRADING SYSTEM FOR RECOVERY RESIDENTS

OBJECTIVES:
General: To gauge the level of performance of the residents while they are undergoing
the program of rehabilitation in the Recovery Center.

Specific:
1. To provide for a measurement method, in order to assess the behavioral
changes of the residents;
2. To provide basis for the implementation of rewards system, as may be proper;
3. Foster better environment for the spiritual, emotional and behavioral
transformation of residents;
4. To ensure delivery of rehabilitation services to clients;

Scope of the Policy:

This policy shall pertain to all the recovery center residents and the personnel
assigned/designated for the said grading system.

Policies:

Pursuant to its vision and mission in providing for the transformation of its residents, the
Butuan City Jail Recovery Center is strongly committed to adopt the following policies:

1. There shall be, in every month, a conduct of aptitude test which shall be done
by the residents themselves, whereby they rank among each other according
to the attitude and behavior of each resident;
2. The grading system shall be calculated as follows:
a. Behavior: 40%
i. Every resident shall have 100 points for every conduct of BST;
ii. This shall be done by deduction system for every commission of
fumbles. The deduction system shall be:
1. Minor Fumbles: 3-point deduction;
2. Major Fumbles: 6-point deduction;
3. Cardinal Fumbles: 50-point deduction.
b. Aptitude Test: 30%
c. Facility Run: 20%
i. Every resident shall have 100 points for every conduct of facility
run;
ii. Every articles which were not in TC or unclean shall have 1-
point deduction;
d. Morning Meeting: 5%
i. Every participation during morning meeting shall constitute 5
points.
e. Monday Showdown: 5%
i. The ranking of every group shall gain corresponding points,
which shall be as follows:
1. First: 100%
2. Second: 90%
3. Third 85%
3. The grades of the residents shall be completed before the last Saturday of the
month;
4. There shall be a posting of grading results in a conspicuous area of the
Recovery Center;
5. The Center Chief shall check and evaluate the results of the grading system
6. There shall be a monthly deliberation for the residents with respect to the
results of the grading system;
7. As may be deemed proper by the Center Chief, there shall be a reward
system to be granted to the top ranking residents according to the results of
the grading system.

This policy shall be for utmost implementation.
