Vidyut Sahayak (Jr.Engineer – Electrical)
Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd. (GETCO) is a leading ISO 9001:2008
State utility in Transmission Business having its Head Quarter at Vadodara. It has
strong work force of 12,000 employees with its transmission network spread over
Gujarat State for power evacuation from generating stations and transmitting to
DISCOMs.

As we are on high growth trajectory and need to strengthen our manpower strength, we
invite applications from young and energetic engineering graduate to go through
selection procedure and take up challenging task in GETCO.

Qualification BE (Electrical) with 65% aggregate marks in 7th & 8th

Semester. (60% for SC/SEBC Candidates).
(Passed in First attempt)
Age 28 years. (Born on or after 1.4.1982).
(For SC/SEBC Candidates – Born on or after 1.4.1977)
Fixed 1st year - Rs. 9000/- ) Likely to be revised.
Remuneration 2nd year - Rs.10000/- )
No other allowance or benefit would be admissible except
per month
coverage under Personal Accident Policy, Reimbursement of
TA/DA as per rules.
Period of Two years
engagement On successful completion of two years as VS (JE), they shall
be absorbed as Junior Engineer on regular establishment in
the pay scale of Rs.17300 - 38610/- based on the overall
performance.

Instructions to the candidates:

1. The candidates shall have to apply on-line in the prescribed format uploaded in the

2. After applying on-line, candidates must send a print of on-line their application
alongwith certified copies of School Leaving Certificate, Mark sheets of 7th & 8th
Semester, Degree Certificate, Caste Certificate and two recent passport size
photographs at following address on or before 17.4.2010.

3. The candidates belonging to SEBC category shall be required to submit the Creamy
Layer Certificate.

4. Details of Registration and Test:

1. Date of on-line registration and forwarding Upto 17th April 2010

application with Certificates

2. Date of on-line objective type Test On 25th April 2010

5. The on-line Test shall be of objective type with the duration of One hour (1 hr.) at the
following Centres of GETCO.

Palanpur Gondal Bharuch

6. The candidates shall have to give minimum three choices of centre.

7. On receipt of the application, the confirmation about the centre shall be sent by mail
with address.

8. The written examination would cover the topics of Electrical Engineering, Power
System, Transformers, Switch Gears, Relay Protections etc. pertaining to transmission
wing, General Knowledge and English.

9. The candidates do not confer any right for the selection automatically as it will be
purely on merit based and subject to verification of Certificates.

General Information:

1. The company reserves the right to short list and select any candidate as per the
requirement of the Company.
2. Canvassing in any form will automatically disqualify the candidature.
3. Govt. servants or those who are employed in a semi-Govt. or public body should
apply through proper channel and “No objection certificate” from the concerned
organization shall be produced at the time of written test.
4. Knowledge of Computer and Gujarati language is preferred.
