Westell 31MK-26 Mounting Bracket

(for the 6060-04 -48 Vdc, 2.0 Amp Power Supply)

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

1.1 Document Purpose

This document describes the Westell 31MK-26 Mounting

Bracket, shown in Figure 1. See Table 1 for ordering informa-
tion.
- NOTE -
Hereafter, the 31MK-26 Mounting Bracket may be referred to as the

kit" or the
31MK-26."

1.2 Document Status

Whenever this practice is updated, the reason will be stated in
this paragraph. This Revision B practice updates the entire doc-
ument.
1.3 Product Purpose and Description

The 31MK-26 is a kit, which contains two screws and one brack-
et, which is used to mount a Westell 6060-04 power supply (KTU
type) to a wall.
2.1 Gathering Tools and Supplies

Installation includes inspecting the kit for damages, following
proper safety precautions, gathering all the necessary tools, and
mounting the kit.
- INSPECTION NOTE -
Visually inspect the unit for damages prior to installation. If damaged in
transit, immediately report the damage to the transportation company
and to Westell (see Part 4 for telephone number).
- PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT -
Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals unless the
telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface.
Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
1. Determine the mounted location on wall. Choose a location
with adequate lighting, unobstructed access for personnel,
adequate room for proper power supply and cable access,
ventilation, equipment access, as well as sufficient horizon-
tal and vertical space left between any multiple
installations. The 6060-04 should be installed in an upright
position on the wall.
2. Mark the mounting hole locations to be drilled. Using the
bracket itself as a template, lift and place the bracket
against the wall in the desired mounting location then mark
the exact mounting hole locations to be drilled for the
mounting hardware (wall-mount hardware not included).
Be sure to orient the bracket as shown in Figure 2, so the
flanges that hold the power supply protrude away from the
wall.

number (A90-31MK26), which consists of three parts: the issue let-

model number (31MK26). Each time a product change affects the
