Technology Framework
A Technology Framework is the link between business and application requirements of a technology infrastructure and
the implementation of a technology infrastructure described by a technology architecture.
Principles
Conceptual Model of Technology Architecture
A technology framework is a vendor-independent abstraction of a technology architecture. In a heterogeneous
environment, the technology architecture may exist at many levels (Vendor, Enterprise, Business Unit, Division,
Department, or any other organizational unit orgrouping).
Technology Services
Technology Services are mapped back to business requirements and application service requirements for validation.
Validation ensures that the chosen technology architecture provides the needed functionality. The technology
framework is a place-holder for business and application requirements of a technology architecture independent of any
vendor.
