Reporter
-Find and source a minimum of two stories a day, filing in a 24-hour format on air and online
-Contacting sources on past stories, checking in with law enforcement to stay in the loop daily
-Communicating with editors and managers on content, often passing stories to other reporters
-Formatting my stories in wtop.com’s CMS in AP style, taking photos & videos for web content
Weekend Anchor
-Anchored two and 1/2 hours of newscasts every weekend day for 7 months, including
November sweeps period
-Turned packages while on my anchoring shift to help bolster weekend content
Weekend Anchor/Producer
-Solely responsible for the editorial content of the show, I assigned, wrote, stacked and solo
anchored four half-hour newscasts a weekend
-Created the highest-rated weekend newscasts in station history
-Timed shows from the desk, while anchoring
