remove the cable cover. (The screw is a captive screw and will not come off com-
pletely.)

Cable Point Small screws with rubbers do not need to be loosened.

Instruction Manual
Refer to the "VT3/DT Series PLC Connection Manual" for information on settings related to con-
necting with external devices.
Refer to the "VT3 Handy Series Instruction Manual" or "VT3 Series Hardware Manual" for infor-
mation on the input/output specifications and grounding.

Types of Cables

OP-87180 / 87181 . . . . . . . . . . KV Series programming console connection cable (3 m / 5 m)

2 Connect the middle connector (CN1) while paying attention to the orientation.

OP-87182 / 87183 . . . . . . . . . . Mitsubishi Q Series [Q Mode] programming console connec-

tion cable (3 m / 5 m)
OP-87184. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mitsubishi FXN Series programming console connection cable
(5 m)

3 Connect the right connector (CN3) while paying attention to the orientation.
OP-87185 / 87186 / 87187 . . . . RS-232C / 422 connection cable (3 m / 5 m / 10 m)

* RS-485 communication is not possible.

OP-87188 / 87189 / 87190 . . . . Ethernet connection cable (3 m / 5 m / 10 m)

4 Connect the left connector (CN2A [left]: RS-232C or CN2B [right]: RS-422) while pay-
ing attention to the orientation.

There is no CN2 for the Ethernet connection cable so it cannot be con-

Point nected.
OP-87191 / 87192 / 87193 . . . . RS-232C / 422 / 485・Ethernet connection cable (3m/5m/10m)

*Terminator switch
OP-87194 / 87195 / 87196 . . . . Cable with removal connector (3 m / 5 m / 10 m)

* When using RS-422 / 485, refer to the "VT3/DT PLC Connection Manual" and set the
terminator selection switch.

5 Fit the cable bushing into the groove on the VT3 Handy Series unit.

• Align the groove ( ) on the very bottom of the main unit side with
Point the bump on the top of the cable protector when fitting.
• After fitting, the bushing should be lifted slightly off the groove.
