We are the students of M.Sc.Nursing previous year from Govt.

Collage of nursing, Jagdalpur today

on the date 20 /2/2019. We have visited village Lohandiguda The village is situated near the
Jagdalpur and it is under the Bastar district.

We have visited Lohandiguda with our respected teachers Ms. Shradha Ashawan, Assit. Professor
(H.O.D. Depart. Of community health nursing), Mrs. Sabiba Daharia (M.Sc. demonstrator, Depart. of
Community health nursing).

We have selected Lohandiguda for survey to get knowledge deeply about the house and people, and it
will leads to a large data about village.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ALLOTATED VILLAGE

INTRODUCTION: we are the students of M.Sc. Nursing previous year we visit Lohandiguda with the
guidance of our teachers, Miss Shradha Ashawan, Assist. Professor HOD, dep. Of CHN, and Mrs. S.
Daharia, M.Sc. CHN.

We covered 355 houses in our visit, we survey about total population, disease condition, environment
sanitation and drainage system.

TOPOGRAPHY:

Lohandiguda is a village in Jagdalpur, tehsil in Baster District of Chhattisgarh state of India. It is located
25 Km from Jagdalpur and 280 km from Raipur.

POLITICAL STRUCTURE OF VILLAGE:

In village, every 5 year people elect their own person for the post of Sarpanch and Panch.

RECREATIONAL FACILITY OF VILLAGE:

Village is recreated by the celebrating festivals.

Various competition are organized for the recreation like Dahihandi phod, Dance competition etc

DESCRIPTION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

INTRODUCTION:

The village Lohandiguda is situated near the Jagdalpur and it is under the Baster district. It’s wonderful
experienced for us to visit Lohandiguda community health center. Its provide all required facilities to
people and its covers a population of 80,000 people.

DEFINITION:

“A health care center or community health center is one of a network of clinics staffed by a
group of general practitioners and nurse providing health care services to people in certain area.”

LOCATION:
 Lohandiguda is a tehsil in Bastar district of C.G. State India. Head quarters are jagdalpur town.

OBJECTIVE OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

 To identify community profile.

 To assess and diagnose the health needs of individual, families and community and provide
comprehensive care.
 To organize school health programme.
 To organize group for self-help and involve client in their own health activity.
 To participate in natural health programme.
 To provide care directly to the individual in their setting.
 To counsel and educate individual family and community.
 To provide family welfare services.
 To collect vital statistic.
 To maintain and records and reports.

ACTIVITIES OF COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

 Conduct immunization programme

 Anganwadi services.
 School health programme.
 Control of epidemic.
 Antenatal visit and care.
 Screening of woman having menopause.
 Providing health education regarding topics-
 Sanitation.
 Health hygiene.
 Diet
 Proper medication.
 Providing of safe water supply and basic sanitation.
 Nutrition health programme.

FUNCTION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE:

 Providing specialty services.

 Giving all prevention and curative health services.
 Caring and supervising concerned PHC.
 Medical services.
 Referral services.
 Nutritional health programme.

HOUSING: There is total no. of 131 houses, some are kachha house which are made of brick and soil,
and some are Pakka house made up of cement and brick, and both mix type of house is a semi Pakka
house.
