APPLIES TO:

Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Solaris Cluster - Version OSC 3.3 3/13 to OSC 4.2 [Release 3.3 to 4.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

GOAL

To inform the reader about scsi3 reservations on the FS1-2 Flash Storage System.

SOLUTION

Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.x software supports from one to 16 cluster nodes in a cluster. Different hardware configurations
impose additional limits on the maximum number of nodes. For example FS1-2 Flash Storage System allows only 4 cluster
node connections because of the number of host connections to any lun on the array is 4. SCSI-3 reservations are
implemented per lun (not per port) on the FS1-2 storage array.

The (actual) limit of keys per lun is 64.
