Welcome back after summer holiday.

Mariam recently I have been given the opportunity to be a part of your learning journey.
During these last few weeks I have observed you to find your interest. I noticed you have a
great communication skill you can express your feelings and needs non-verbally and some
verbal English language. I noticed you love helping others. You enjoy being with older
children and happy to go to preschool over two’s area for transition. To know you more I
read your previous journals and find out that you are very confident to express yourself, I
also noticed you are developing interest in verbal communication as teachers Farah has
already mentioned in your last two stories. You have been developed confidence while
using words to express yourself such as asking about toys. Teacher Farah also mentioned
how you enjoyed cutting strawberries in the preschool for making smoothies. To extend on
your interest I arranged cooking rice with fresh-beans from the preschool garden. I noticed
you love cutting beans putting ingredients in the rice pot. I observed you were repeating the
names of ingredients after me and sharing turns with other children

Oh no while washing rice Teacher Naema put technology set for us cooker cooked beans rice. Yummy it
we drop few on the table. while we are waiting for rice to get ready. smell and taste nice.

What is happening?
Mariam on 3rd of March you will be two years old. During the last few weeks you have been
getting transition time and spending most of your time at preschool to get use to routines.
How can we extend this learning?
Mariam, your learning pathway this term is to explore and make a sense of the world
around you. Therefore staff will be encouraging you to become more familiar with
preschool routines and environment and will also support your confidence to communicate
verbally and able to make decisions.
