Electrical Works
Purpose:

 To give proper introduction to the labor about the safety before


deployment to the site.
 To give proper instruction to the labor about the safety before deployment
to the site.
 To give proper introduction to the labor about the potential hazards and
the protective equipment to prevent them.
 To give instruction about the first-aid or emergency procedure in case of
any emergency.

Potential Hazards
These are the potential hazards that a labor can get while working at site.
 Inhalation of any dusts, gases or vapors.
 Eyes contact to chemical or metal splash, dust, projectiles, gas and vapors,
radiation.
 Hearing problems due to noise.
 Skin contact to any hot or electrical part.
 Injuries due to impact from falling or flying objects, risk of head bumping,
hair getting tangled in machinery, chemical drips or splash, climate or
temperature.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


Following are the personal protective equipment for the protection against
different hazards:
 Safety Masks.
 Safety Gloves.
 Safety Helmets.
 Safety Goggles.
 Safety Earplugs.
 Safety Shoes.
 Safety Clothes.

First Aid:
First Aid should be provided in the following cases:

 In Case of inhalation.
 In Case of eyes contact.
 In Case of skin contact.
 In Case of hearing problems.

Accident procedure:
In Case of medical emergency: In case of medical emergency call the
ambulance or the doctor provided by the organization.

In Case of environmental emergency: In case of environmental


emergency use the fire exit.

In Case of security threat: In case of security threat call police or


emergency numbers related to that emergency.

Documentation of Training
 Before conducting any work designated personnel must provide training to
his/her personnel about the hazards involved in working, work area, and
emergency procedures.
 The EHS officer must provide his/her site personnel with a copy of this SOP
and a copy of the map in case of emergency.
 The EHS officer must ensure that his/her site personnel have attended
appropriate site safety training or refresher training within the last one
year.

Any deviation from this SOP requires approval from EHS Officer.
