APPEARANCE/

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Isleworth & Syon has a reputation for being a civilised community, which values achievement and diversity,
seeing itself as a place of learning dedicated to academic, creative and sporting success and to the development
of the whole person.

It is essential that parents/carers, students and school staff all work together to continue this reputation. Isleworth
& Syon also supports a full school Uniform Policy as the school believes that it:

1. Helps develop a community spirit

2. Enables students to take pride in their appearance at school
3. Is likely to foster pride in work and achievement

Parents/carers are asked to actively support this policy, the details of which are contained on the school website
(www.isleworthsyon.org/appearance), by sending their son/ward to school in full school uniform for the five years
of compulsory schooling.

Uniform is not just worn in school but when representing the school travelling to and from it each day.

Please note: in accepting a place for your son/ward at Isleworth & Syon School, you are agreeing to support the
school and its policies. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) are the sole arbiters of acceptable standards in
all cases.

Complete the form below to confirm your agreement. By agreeing to this policy, you:

a) confirm that you have read and discussed the above information with your son/ward;
b) agree to send your son/ward to school in full uniform;
c) understand that the school may sanction your son/ward for any breach of the appearance policy, and
these sanctions may include being sent home from school;
d) understand that we expect your son/ward will conform to the School Code of Conduct and the ‘Lessons
are for Learning’ policy.
