1.3. Communication Port Explanation

The Communication port on the UPS provides true RS232 type to

communicate with UPS software to remote monitoring the power and UPS status.
With optional interfaces cards, which contains R2E(2 nd RS232),
RSE(RS485), USE(USB), DCE(Dry Contac), as well as SNMP card, you may
combine them according to your demand. However, the R2E card, RSE card and
USE card are prohibited to be used Simultaneously.
The bundled software of the UPS is compatible with many operating systems
such as Windows 98, & 2000, ME, NT and XP. For other applications like Novell,
NetWare, Unix, Linux, please contact your local distributor for a proper solution.

When the optional interface cards are used together with onboard RS232
port in communication, the EPO signals will get the highest priority in control
command, then the SNMP/WEB card , then the shutdown command at the DCE
card & also R2E, RSE and USE, then onboard RS232 port get the lowest priority.

9.1. Important Safety Instruction
9.1.1. A professional technician is required while installing those UPS.
9.1.2. Read the Installation guide carefully before those UPS are installed, so as
to avoid any potential installation procedure error occurred to cause injury in the
personnel or damage in the UPS
9.1.3. Because of “LITTLE LEAKAGE CURRENTS” generated by the EMI filter of
the UPS, it is necessary to double ensure if the earth of the UPS is properly
grounded before AC Mains is connected with.
9.1.4. The parallel function of the UPS can only be enabled in Normal Mode.
9.1.5. Before any parallel installation is proceeded, make sure the difference of
the inverter voltage of each UPS in parallel at NO load shall be less than 1Vac.
Please consult with authorized dealer if the voltages in difference are over 1Vac
9.1.6. Make sure the RJ45 communicating wire is connected tightly during parallel
mode; otherwise, it might cause outage or damage of both the UPSs and the
output device.
9.1.7. Only two terminal resistors on the rear panel of the two(2) or four(4) of the
UPS in parallel shall be set at “On” position and the rest of them shall be set at
“Off” position; otherwise, the parallel operation of those UPS might be abnormal
or damaged.
9.1.8. Make sure those UPS in parallel are with the same ratings and types. For
instance, the UPS without galvanic transformer can not be in parallel with the
UPS with galvanic transformer. While installing those UPS, please add a
40Arms/250Vac and 30Arms/250Vac NFB(Non-fuse Breaker)at the input and
output of each UPS to avoid any potential hazard when the UPS is in the
maintenance mode.
