Title: The Faith is a weapon of War

Text: 1 timothy 6;12

Fight the good fight of faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made
Your good confession in the presence of many witness.

Introduction:
Faith is not for talking, We are ordained fighter. If you are not a fighter you never become a winner.
a) Nobody can wins a Prize without putting on a fight

1 FAITH is a fight-
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent
take it by force. (Matthew 11:12)

a) Faith is a principal part of our armory, it is the shield which every soldier
Know well not to toy with.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, From the time that he began to preach, to the
then present time,

the kingdom of heaven, the Gospel, and the ministry of it, first by John, then by Christ and his
apostles,
meaning either publicans, and harlots, and Gentile sinners; who might be thought to be a sort of
intruders: or rather the same persons, as being powerfully wrought upon under the ministry of
the Gospel; who were under violent apprehensions of wrath and vengeance, of their lost and
undone state and condition by nature; were violently in love with Christ, and eagerly desirous of
salvation by him, and communion with him; and had their affections set upon the things of
another world: these having the Gospel preached to them, which is a declaration of God's love to
sinners, a proclamation of peace and pardon, and a publication of righteousness and life by Christ,
they greedily catched at it, and embraced it.

suffereth violence; or "comes with force", and power upon the souls of men, it was attended with
the demonstration of the Spirit, and of power; as appeared by its being the means of quickening
persons that were dead in trespasses and sins; enlightening the blind; causing the deaf to hear;
melting and softening hearts of stone; making, of enemies, friends to God and Christ; turning men
from the power of Satan unto God. setting at liberty such as were slaves and vassals to their own
corruptions; and, in a word, in being the power of God unto salvation, to many souls: and which
was further seen, in the manner it did all this; suddenly, secretly, powerfully, and effectually, and
yet not against the wills of men; and by such instruments as the apostles were, poor, sinful,
mortal men; despised by the world, and attended with opposition and persecution: or "suffers
violence"; which may be understood, either of the vast numbers, that pressed and crowded to
hear the Gospel preached: great numbers followed John, when he first began to preach, and
baptize: still a greater number followed Christ, some to hear his doctrine, others to see his
miracles, others to behold his person, others out of selfish ends; and some behaved rudely and
indecently: or of the ardour and fervency of spirit, which appeared in some, to the ministry of
John and Christ, and in their desires and expectations of the kingdom of the Messiah: or of the
Gospel's suffering violence by the persecutions of its enemies opposing and contradicting it,
reproaching it, intimidating the professors of it, and seeking to take away the life of Christ, the
great subject of it:

and the violent take it by force; meaning either publicans, and harlots, and Gentile sinners; who

a) Force – is the force of faith

b) Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please God
c) If you’re not a fighter you are not pleasing God. God Expects us to fight, THE GOOD FIGHT OF
FAITH.
d) Duet 2:4 He said to moses, Behold I have given into thine hand Siloh, The Amorite, King of
Heshbon, and his land. Begin to possess it and contend with him in battle

God said begin to possess it and content with him in battle, God has given them that land
but they have to FIGHT TO POSSESS IT. GOD GAVE ISRAEL THE LAND OF CANAAN A LAND
FLOWING WITH MILK AND HONEY BUT THERE ARE GIANTS THERE WHICH HE DIDN’T DRIVE
AWAY. IT WAS THEM WHO FOUGHT FOR THEM TO POSSESS THE LAND.

WE POSSESS WHAT BELONGS TO US BY CONTENDING AND NOT BY DEBATING.

THE DEVIL IS NOT A GENTLEMAN…

REMEMBER: GOD TURNED THE SLAVES INTO A FIGHTER.

e) We need faith to enter into whatever God has package for our destiny, because, FAITH IS A
VICTORY AND FAITH PLEASES GOD.

WE NEED TO FIGHT BACAUSE THERE ARE SILOH’S HANGING OVER AND AROUND OUR
INHERITANCE UNTIL WE BEGIN TO CONTEND WITH THEM IN THE BATTLE OF FAITH TO POSSESS
 OUR POSSESSIONS.

REVELATION 12;7 THERE WAS WAR IN HEAVEN AND GOD FOUGHT.

Example: Can you imagine what would have happened if God hadn’t fought back, Satan would
Have become the most Holy today. But thanked God he fought back,

11. FAITH IS The VICTORY

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that
That overcometh, even our faith.

Faith is the victory, not faith is a victory. It is the victory,,,,THE, MEANING THE ONLY

There is nothing under the sun that cannot be subdued by faith. When anything seems
Subduing you, it is an indication that you have not built up your faith in that area of
Your faith.

When faith is there, it subdues.

1. Who through faith conquered kingdoms

2. Administered Justice
3. And gained what was promised
4. Who shut the mouth of lions
5. Quench the fury of the flames
6. And escaped the edge of he sword

And routed armies

Faith is the believer’s responsibility for victory,.

111. Faith is a Responsibility

Hebrew 11:6 For He that cometh to God must believe
Jesus said, only believe (Luke 8:50)

It is our responsibility to build up our faith. The bible said, faith cometh by hearing
And hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).

We need to feed our spiritual life with the word of God, listen to preaching,
Be involve in the ministry, wherein we would be able to catch faith. Each of us
 Must get involved in order to see the Reality of faith.

Example: just like the Air, you and I can breathe. Can you ask anyone to breathe for you
Even how much you love your wife or your husband, they can’t breathe for you.
It is your responsibility to breathe for yourself, if you must live.

Jesus ‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23).
A) FAITH IS A MUST – Just as breathing faith is must to keep alive, so is also faith
Is a must to be spiritually alive in the kingdom of God
Great men and women of God were able to move by their faith.

There is no mountain that cannot level Zechariah 4:7, and no valley it cannot fill, there is no
Barrier that can stop faith from accomplishing Mark 11;23
We need faith to be victorious, we need faith to command our blessings, we need faith everyday/

1V FAITH IS THE FOUNDATION

PSALM 11:3 when the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do,
2 Peter 1:5 And beside this giving all Diligence, add to your faith virtue.

a) Faith is the foundation of Christianity if it is not there, the righteous can do nothing.
Example : Every high rise building looks so attractive but the strength keeps it in place
Lies In it is the foundation. Likewise every attractive life in Christianity must have a sure
Foundation of faith, grounded and strong. Right down to the depth of the heart.

B) Every situation is reversible by faith John 11:1-44

a) If you are here lazarus will not die
b) Jesus said if you believe you will see the Glory of God

Jesus said: "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and
even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. John 14:12

Faith connects us to the power , and it puts us in the class of God.

Classification of God- we are the best of its kind, we are high quality,

We are not ordinary

When our faith is at work, the power of God is in place
