Fast food nowadays is considered a normal eating venture. People are not just eating out on
special occasions or weekends anymore. It means that all the time they mostly eat fast food.
However, is fast food good for health? Well, it is not. Here are four reasons of why you should
not have fast food.
The rise in obesity and cancer keeps increasing since the trend of fast food popped up in 1940s.
This is because, to hold the consistency and to enhance flavor, fast food is altered from its
original healthy form.
Fast food is highly processed with a wide array of additives. To ensure the fast food’s low cost,
the fast food products are made with highly-processed ingredients to give the most of the taste.
It is not the calories in fast food which damage health and waistline. It is the chemical additives
such as aspartame and MSG. studies show that chemical additives lead to weight and disease
issues.
Before we smoke, it is better to look at the fact of smoking effects, not only for smokers but
also for non smokers. About 50 thousands people die every year in Britain as the direct result of
smoking. This is the seven times as many as deaths in road accidents. Nearly a quarter of
smokers die because of diseases caused by smoking.
Ninety percent of lung cancers are caused by smoking. If we smoke five cigarettes a day,
we are six times more likely to die of lung cancer than a non- smoker. If we smoke twenty
cigarettes a day, the risk is nineteen times greater.
Ninety five percent of people who suffer from bronchitis are people who smoke. Smokers are
two and half times more likely to die of heart disease than non-smokers.
Additionally, children of smokers are more likely to develop bronchitis and pneumonia. In
one hour in a smoky room, a non-smoker breathes as much as substance causing cancer as if
he had smoked fifteen cigarettes.
Smoking is really good for tobacco companies because they do make much money from
smoking habit. Smoking, however, is not good for everybody else.

These days, increasing number of households use gas hot water systems, which mostly burn
LPG (liquified petroleum gas). It is a good solution if you live in an area with limited sunlight for a
solar hot water system.
There are two main types of hot water systems. The first is storage water heaters, which heat
and store water in an insulated tank for use when it is needed. The second is instantaneous
systems (or continuous flow systems), which only heat water when it’s needed and don’t use a
storage tank.
The second type is the most popular in the country, as it is more affordable. In instantaneous
systems, the water is heated by a gas burner as it flows through a coiled pipe called a heat
exchanger. The gas burner starts when a hot water tap is turned on. It only heats the amount of
water that is required instead of continuously heating a full tank
22. Which of the following statements is incorrect based on the passage above?
A. Instantaneous hot water systems are cheaper than storage water heaters

The eye is the most important sensory organ of the human body. Four fifths of all the
information from the outside world reaches the brain through the eye. But how does this
wonderful organ works?
Once light reaches the retina, the light-sensing cells (photoreceptors) convert light into electrical
impulses. Photoreceptor cells are wither rods or cones. Rods are concentrated along the outer
perimeter of the retina; they help us to see images in our vision and also to see in the dark and
dimly lit environments. Cones are concentrated in the macula, the center of the retina, allowing
us to see fine visual detail in the center of our vision; they also allow us to perceive color.
Together, the photoreceptors convert light into electrical impulses that are passed through the
rest of the retina, through the optic nerve to the brain. The visual centers in the brain interpret
the information received from the retina, enabling us to see.
