WHY STUDENTS TEND TO CHEAT?

Sometimes they do not see certain topics as important. For example, a student who
wants to be a math teacher will probably have little to no interest in his or her world
geography class. Instead of working very hard to hopefully do well in a class that will
be forgotten by the end of the semester, they may feel tempted to cheat, do well, and
get it out of the way.

Lack of quality teaching. Sometimes students tend to get teachers that like doing
everything in class other than what they are actually paid to do. Reading directly from
the book without explaining, just giving assignments so that students keep busy
instead of asking questions , excessive punishment to deter aforementioned asking
questions etc. A lack of fundamental understanding of the subject makes cheating a
viable alternative for students.

Pressure. The amount of pressure that students are put under is insane. Stating that
every test will play a hand in shaping your future does more harm than good. Instead
of motivating students to actually sit down and study it rather makes them petrified
of failing and they turn to the alternative of cheating.

from keeping up with the material.

They are too lazy to study. They cheat to get good marks, high score or to passed
There are some who don't study for the exams and study for their goals, so to just
pass the examination they cheat.

Some students find exam way too boring and just attend it due to external pressure
without any preparation. As a result they cheat to pass the examination.

Due to jealousy and increasing competition. Intelligent students also sometimes cheat
to get excellent marks and become the class topper.
