BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONIST, TRAVERSE CITY AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Working with students individually or in small group formats to help with issues such as anxiety,
impulse control, feelings identification, anger management, peer relations, social skills, social
stories, healthy coping mechanisms, self-esteem, home issues/transitions, etc. Teaching
classroom lessons on social/emotional topics as well as personal safety lessons. Connecting
parents to community resources and counselors, assisting with local holiday help programs,
coordinating with the McKinney-Vento program, distributing winter gear, delivering weekly food
bags from Father Fred to students' lockers. Contributing to weekly TASC meetings with teachers
and parents, conducting time on/time off task observations for suspected ADHD, distributing and
scoring Vanderbilt Assessments, and assisting in creating and implementing behavior plans.

As a Post Adoption Specialist, I provide services, such as case management, coordination of
community services, information dissemination, and adoptive family support to families who
have adopted through the foster care system, international adoption, and domestic infant
adoption. As a Foster Care Licensing Specialist, I recruited, trained and licensed foster homes,
coordinated foster care placements, oversaw foster parent orientation and training, participated
in retention and advocacy opportunities, and became involved in community foster parent
coalitions.
