4. Overall target of the position
Co-ordinate for Engineering (Mech) for the project within the department and with other
departments regarding progress and technical issues in order to deliver quality Engineering
services and adequately designed Boilers on schedule.
5. Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence
5.1 Tasks & Responsibilities (max. 5)
Description of the main principle tasks & responsibilities:
• Should be able to Plan & schedule the Engineering(Mech) activities along with relevant
Engineers/Section-Heads/HOD for the contract per master-schedule in order to ensure timely
delivery of Service.
• Should be able to Organise collection of inputs from Engineering(Performance)/
Engineering(E&I)/SM for making Pressure-Parts GA in order to ensure their timely release.
• Should be able to Interact with Projects for inputs(Site Plan, Datum Level) from
Customer/Consultant for Mechanical-Design/Drafting in order to ensure timely delivery of
Engineering Services.
• Should be able to interact with Projects (attend Progress meeting) and liaison within
Engineering in order to know the status and initiate course correction.
• Should be able to appraise HOD/concerned Engineer/Section-Head about the Engineering-
status of the project and suggest and organise outsourcing (if necessary) in order to ensure
timely delivery of Engineering Services.
• Should be able to Organise and track distribution of Engineering inputs(Drgs / BOMs) to others
like Mfg, Construction, QA,SM, IBR in order to enable others perform their function.
• Should be able to provide Engineering support to Construction/Manufacturing in order to build
Boilers to requirement and to Commissioning in order to ensure performance of Boilers to
requirement
• Should be able to act as a single window for interacting to/from Engineering on all matters for
the Project in order to facilitate speedy communication.
• Should be able to train subordinates in order to improve skills.

• Graduate Engineer (Mechanical) or Diploma Engineer (Mechanical).
7.2 Professional Experience
Experience gained on the job during professional life:

• At least 12 years of experience in Engineering having ample exposure in all the areas of Boiler and
Auxiliaries.
