 say the name of animal whose features are said to them.


 select the items that they heard while they are listening to the song.
 match the animal pictures with the animal noises while they are listening to
the song.

1.Begin with Warm up and Motivation (2’)

T: Good morning class


Ss: Good morning teacher
T: How are you today?
Ss: Fine thanks and you?
T: I’m fine,thanks.
T: As you know the summer holiday is coming.What are your plans for
holiday?
-Elicit answers.Give feedback.

2.State the general aim of the lesson( 1’)

T: Yes friends,today we are going to do a listening lesson.We are going to learn


the sounds of animals.

3.Review the necessary background information( 6’)

T: As you know, we learnt the names of some animals last lesson.Let’s


remember the names of them.
First, I am going to show you their pictures and read their
names.Please,repeat after me.

4.Present the new material

A.Pre listening(8’)
Activity 1

T: Yes friends, now I am going to introduce some animals to you and you will
predict which animal I introduce.

T:Are there any volunteers?

- teacher gives the features of the animals to the student


- Elicit answers.Give feedback.

B.While listening(10’)
Activity 1

T: In this activity, you are going to work individually.” Now we are going to
listen to a song about farm animals”.Listen to the song and circle the animals
and the sounds of them you hear.
T:Are there any questions?
( teacher distrubutes handouts)
( teacher plays the song)
( teacher monitors the students)
T: Check your answers with the person sitting next to you.
- Listen to the song again.
- Say ’Check your answers’.
- Elicit answers.
- Show the answers to the student.

C.After listening(10’)

T:Now, I have handouts for you. ‘ You will match the animals and their noises’.

T: You have 5 minutes)

5.Give a Summary(1’)

T: Today, we have repeated the names of the animals and learnt their sounds.

6.Give Homework(1’)

T: “ Write a paragraph about the animal you like the most.It should be between
5-7 sentences”

( She writes it on the board)


T: Please copy this in your notebook.

7.End the Lesson(1’)

T: “ Did you enjoy the lesson today?”
