Project Management Plan

1. Client Requirements/ Plan of Action

 Identify the purpose of this task. What are you required to do? What needs to be handed in?
The purpose of this task I have been assigned, is to complete an 8-week creative project consisting of 7 weeks
of work that vary from creating and designing digital graphics to filling out premade worksheets. At the end of
this project I am to hand in an e-portfolio (website) which displays all of my completed tasks.
 Target Audience (Describe characteristics of your target audience/market/gender/age)
My Target Audience are 15 to 16-year-old students who are transitioning into their first year of EGC (Year 11)
and have chosen to attend ATAR AIT.

 Explain two (2) Design Concepts that you will use to guide your design. Paste examples of
images that have inspired the design of your digital product. (For example, the colour of an
image on Google Images) Use design concept terminologies.

 Identify hardware and software options you will choose to complete this digital project and
why.
Hardware Software
 Wacom Intuos Art - pen & tablet  Google Chrome
 Keyboard  Adobe Illustrator CC 2017
 Mouse  Adobe Photoshop CC 2017
 USB  Weebly

2. Design your Digital Product

1. Sketch your digital product

2. Create your digital product using your plan as a guide

3. Test and Evaluate your Digital Product

 Did you complete the task? Why/Why not? (Were there incomplete parts of your
assignment? Was your project effective?)
I completed all parts of my project, I used my time effectively; taking advantage of the Wednesday workshops in order to
get everything done in time and at the very best of my ability.

 Did you meet you target audience? Why/Why not?

Yes, I met my target audience, the work completed in this project is very relevant to that of 15-16-year-old
students who are transitioning to EGC and can be used as reference for what the Year 11 ATAR AIT course
demands.
 Will your digital product be relevant in 5 years? Why/Why not?
This completed project won’t be relevant to me specifically in 5 years, though it may still be relevant to future
EGC Year 11 ATAR AIT students as long as the government of education does not update what is required for
all students to cover.
 Did you use you class time efficiently? (Did you use each lesson to your advantage?)
Yes, I was able to get everything done on time and of my best ability. I used each lesson to my advantage and
put in some extra hours of work both at home and at Wednesday workshops.
Design Concepts Evaluation:

 What is the colour scheme in your product? (You can attach a swatch)

The colour scheme I wanted to go with for in the individual

pages of each week was in the order of the rainbow. One
specific colour per week etc.

 Why did you choose those colours?

I chose these colours as they were both pleasing to the eye and added quite a beautiful diversity of colour that the
viewer of my website could enjoy without drawing away any attention from the information.

 Which design principle(s) and design elements have you used in your product?
My website incorporates design elements through emphasis, shape and line. Emphasis has been utilized in
both the title and headings by alternating between of a large bold font and italics, this makes it easier to
distinguish what the available information is about. Abstract shape and organic line have been used within the
images and backgrounds present in my website, these when used together gives off a soft, relaxing vibe and
helps adds a larger variety of shape, giving the viewer a break from the block lettering.

 How have the design elements created the principle?

I explain most of this in the answer of the above question.
 Discuss the layout and composition principles
 Which alignment did you choose? (Left, right, central) why?
 Did you apply the rule of thirds – if so how? Did you do it with text or an image?
 What form of content did you use? (lists, columns, titles)
 Is reading gravity evident?
The layout and composition of my website contains a continuous central alignment throughout, the reason
behind this is that the viewer’s eyes are always drawn towards the centre of a particular section and it isn’t all
presented to be one sided. In these particular sections, I’ve incorporated information that is placed throughout
the entire row of thirds (left, middle & right) and also divided it between the first and third boxes of the row of
thirds (left & right). – I hope that makes sense. A left to right reading gravity is also present throughout.

 Discuss the typography in your product

 Why did you choose the font style (typeface)?
 Is it the same font throughout your product? Why?
 Why did you choose the spacing between the letters?
 Does one word stand out? Why?
 Did you format the text (bold/underline/italicise)
The font style of the typography of my website is mostly consistence with the exception of titles and their sub headings,
in all of the headings I have applied the bold option and have also played around with italics too. I have underlined
words withinin the my website that I thought was particularly important, this creates emphasis and makes it clear to the
viewer that this has a special corelation with the information around it.

(In this Project Management Plan worksheet, I’ve noticed that the spacing of the words are sometimes different even
though they are all the same font, size, allignment and are of the same format. Please take this into cosideration if you
find this sheet rather messy or ‘uncorodinated’, I was unable to resolve the issue.)
