Women’s Expo draws 250 ladies

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the Speaker Sponsors:
Women’s Expo on Saturday, October 9, although we were
competing against the Michigan and Michigan State game
we still had around 250 women that came out to support our
event and over 40 vendors!
We also raised $580 for the POH Riley Foundation, an
organization that offers FREE mammograms to any person
within Oakland County.
Special thank you’s go to Lynette Smith, with POH Re-
gional Medical Center, Lisa Wilkins the owner of the His-
toric White Horse Inn, and Chris Hoard with Sherman Pub-
lications for chairing and co-chairing the event.
Thanks also go out to Lisi Decampos, owner of Ella Fash-
ion for helping out before, during and after the event. More
thank you’s go out to our volunteers for the day, Oxford
Women’s Club for helping at the Luxury Raffle table, Kevin
Wisely with Genisys Credit Union, Tim Walker with H&R
Block, Pat and Allen Schwartz with Mr. Appliance, Scott
Keller with Primerica and Rick Laidler with Communtiy In-
surance for helping before and during the event.
Thank you to the Oxford Middle School staff and princi-
pal Dacia Beazley for helping coordinate the school and the
Equestrian Team and boosters for providing the food for the
day!
Everyone put in a lot of time and hard work to make this
event happen, not only during the event, but also before
and after, however the Women’s Expo still would not have
been possible without the support of the women that came
out to be a part of the event, the vendors that were there or
the sponsors that contributed, so a very special thank you
goes to all those that supported the event by being a spon-
sor, a participant, a guest speaker, or one of the many women
that bought a pink ribbon in honor or memory of a loved
one, your contribution and support was greatly appreciated.
Thank you to the Oxford Chamber of Commerce Women’s
