As per the gazette notification dated June 1, 2017 issued by the Ministry of Finance, amending
the Prevention of Money-Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2015, Aadhaar number
needs to be updated for all accounts at the time of opening and also all existing accounts of
the customer.
Subsequently, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issued a notification dated July
14, 2017 which states that every bank shall set up Aadhaar enrolment facility inside its bank
premises.
Accordingly, ICICI Bank has started the Aadhaar Enrolment/ Updation activity through its
designated branches across India. Residents can visit these branches for Aadhaar Enrolment/
Updation along with their original documents.
The Aadhaar Enrolment/ Correction form can be downloaded from the UIDAI website.
