1.3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
THE OPERATION OF CHYI MEANG MACHINERY IS SUBJECT TO STATUTORY
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVIENTION REGULATIONS. OUR MACHINERY COMPLIES
WITH THE FOLLOWING SAFETY REGULATIONS:
CNS-LAW ON TECHNICAL WORKING FACILITY.
CNS-GENERAL ACCIDENT PREVENTION REGULATIONS.
CNS-ACCIDENT PREVENTION REGULATION-WORKING MACHINERY.
USERS IN THE R.O.C. ARE OBLIGED TO IMPLEMENT THE ABOVE-MENTIONED
LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND TO SEE THAT THEY ARE OBSERVED. USERS IN THE
ABROAD MUST OBSERVE THE SAFETY LAWS IN FORCE IN THE COUNTRY IN QUES-
TION. THE CNS SAFETY REGULATIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN AS THE BASIC RULES
WHICH SHOULD BE ADOPTED TO LOCAL SAFETY REGULATIONS AS APPROPRIATE.
UNLESS OTHERWISE STIPULATED IN THE CONTRACT OF SALE, THE NECESSARY
ADAPTATION IS TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE USER. THE LOCAL REGULATIONS ON
ESCAPE ROUTES MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO FOR THE ERECTION AND OPERA-
TION OF THE RANGE.
1.4 THE PROCESS OF SAFETY APPLICATION CRUSHER/SCREEN AND RELA-
TIVE EQUIPMENT
1.4.1 PERSONAL SAFETY
CRUSHING & SCREENING EQUIPMENT IS DESIGNED WITH THE SAFETY OF ALL
PERSONNEL IN MIND. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE, MODIFY, OR ELIMINATE THE
ACCIDENT PREVENTION DEVICES INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY. MAKE SURE THAT
ALL PERSONNEL WHO REGULARLY WORK OR WHO MIGHT DO WORK IN THE AREA OF
THE EQUIPMENT ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.
GUARDS, COVERS, AND SHIELDS ARE INSTALLED AROUND MOVING PARTS AT
THE FACTORY WHENEVER NECESSARY TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL INJURY TO OPER-
ATORS AND OTHERS WORKING ON OR NEAR THE EQUIPMENT. DO NOT REMOVE
THEM.
WARNING: WHENEVER YOU SEE “WARNING SYMBOL”, IT MEANS THAT PER-
SONAL BODILY INJURY MAY RESULT FROM IMPROPER PROCEDURES. EACH WARNING
NOTE IS ACCOMPANIED BY AN INTERNATIONAL ALERT SYMBOL TO HELP CALL YOUR
ATTENTION TO SITUATIONS IN WHICH DANGER OF BODILY HARM MAY BE PERSENT.

1.4.2 SAFETY AND RULES
CRUSHER SCREEN AND RELATIVE EQUIPMENT SAFETY PRACTICES:
1. READ ALL WARNING, CAUTION, AND INSTRUCTION SIGNS.
2. NEVER LUBRICATE THE EQUIPMENT WHEN IT IS IN MOTION.
3. DO NOT REMOVE ANY GUARDS, COVERS OR SHIELDS WHEN EQUIPMENT IS
RUNNING.
4. REPLACE ANY GUARDS, COVER, OR SHIELDS AFTER ADJUSTMENT OR MAIN-
TENANCE.
5. ALWAYS ESTABLISH A POSITIVE LOCKOUT OF THE INVOLVED POWER SOURCE
BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, ADJUSTING, OR REPAIR.
SECURE THE POWER SOURCE LOCKOUT TO PREVENT START-UP BY OTHER
PERSONS.
6. BLOCK PARTS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT UNEXPECTED MOTION WHILE
PERFORMING MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENTS OR REPAIR.
7. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE JAMMED PRODUCT OR OTHER BLOCKAGE
FROM RUNNING EQUIPMENT. POWER MUST BE SHUT OFF AND LOCKED OUT
WHILE DOING SO.
8. USE ADEQUATE HEARING PROTECTION DEVICES WHENEVER THE NOISE LEV-
EL IS ABOVE ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.
9. WEAR AN ADEQUATE PROTECTIVE BREATHING MASK WHEN DUST AND FUMES
ARE ABOVE ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.
10. WEAR ADEQUATE EYE PROTECTION GOGGLES OR SAFETY GLASSES WITH SIDE
SHIELDS TO PREVENT FLYING PARTICLES FROM ENTERING EYES.
11. HARD HATS ARE A GOOD IDEA IN ALL WORK SITES AND REQUIRED AT MOST.
WEAR YOURS.
12. MAINTAIN SAFE WORK HABITS BY DRESSING APPROPRIATELY FOR THE JOB.
DO NOT WEAR LOOSE SLEEVES, FLOWING HAIR, LONG COAT TAILS, WRIST
WATCHES OR BRACELETS, OR POCKETS FULL OF TOOLS, WHICH COULD GET
CAUGHT IN MOVING MACHINERY. THIN-SOLED SHOES WITHOUT TREAD
COULD CAUSE UNEXPECTED FALLS OR FOOT INJURY. WEAR SAFE SHOES.
13. ALWAYS LOOK AROUND EQUIPMENT BEFORE START-UP TO MAKE SURE NO
ONE IS NEAR MOVING PARTS, MAKING ADJUSTMENTS, OR PERFORMING
MAINTENANCE. KEEP ALERT TO WHERE YOUR CO-WORKERS ARE.
14. REPORT DEFECTIVE MACHINERY AND UNSAFE CONDITIONS TO YOUR SUPER-
VISOR.
15. SAVE YOUR BACK. IF THE LOAD IS MORE THAN 40 LBS., GET HELP OR USE
PROPER LIFTING PROCEDURES. USE YOUR LEG MUSCLES, NOT YOUR BACK
FOR LIFTING. KEEP LOADS CLOSE TO YOUR BODY. AVOID TWISTING MOTIONS
AND OVER-EXTENSIONS WHEN MOVING LOADS.

16. MOST OF ALL, KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT. UNDERSTAND THE MACHINE AND
THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH IT OPERATES. DON’T LIMIT PLAYING IT SAFE
TO ONLY THESE FEW GENERAL RULES. THINK AND ACT SAFELY FOR YOUR
SPECIFIC WORK ENVIRONMENT AND YOUR PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT.
1.4.3 WORK AREA SAFETY
1. KEEP THE WORK AREA NEAT AND CLEAN.
2. KEEP ALL WARNING AND CAUTION SIGNS CLEAR AND UP-TO-DATE.
3. MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IS PROPERLY GROUNDED.
WET SPOTS NEAR ELECTRIC CURRENT ARE DANGEROUS.
4. STORE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN RESTRICTED ACCESS AREAS AND MARK
THEM CLEARLY.
5. MAKE CERTAIN ENOUGH VENTILATION IS PRESENT TO SAFELY RUN ENGINES.
DO NOT START AN ENGINE IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE WITHOUT PROPERLY
VENTED EXHAUST. EXHAUST FUMES FROM GASOLINE OR DIESEL CAN KILL!
6. DO NOT SMOKE OR ALLOW SMOKING NEAR FLAMMABLE FULES OR SOLVENTS.
USE NON-FLAMMABLE SOLVENTS WHEN POSSIBLE FOR CLEANING PARTS AND
EQUIPMENT.
7. AVOID ELECTRICAL AND STATIC SPARKS AND ANY OPEN FLAME WHEN
HANDING, MOVING OR POURING FUELS, BATTERY ELECTROLYTES, HYDRAU-
LIC FLUIDS, OR COOLANTS.
8. CHECK FOR LEAKS IN TANKS OR TUBING WITH FLASHLIGHTS OR OTHER
PROPER EQUIPMENT. NEVER USE AN OPEN FLAME TO CHECK FOR LEAKS.
9. KNOW WHERE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND OTHER FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIP-
MENT ARE LOCATED. LEARN TO USE THEM.
10. BE ALERT AND WARY AROUND ANY PRESSURIZED SYSTEM: HYDRAULIC OR
AIR. HIGH PRESSURE GASES AND OILS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. KNOW
YOUR EQUIPMENT AND OPERATE IT PROPERLY.
1.4.4 EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS SAFETY
1. CLEAN AND PROPERLY LABELED TOOLS ARE SAFER TOOLS. KEEP YOUR
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS IN ORDER.
2. ALWAYS USE HOISTING EQUIPMENT FOR HEAVY LOADS. REGULARY CHECK
HOOKS, CABLES, SHACKLES, AND CHAINS FOR STRETCH AND WEAR. NEVER
OVERLOAD THE LIFTING CAPACITY OF HOISTS, CRANES, AND LIFTING DEVIC-
ES.
3. KEEP V-BELTS AND SHEAVES IN GOOD CONDITION. FRAYED BELTS OR
CRACKED SHEAVES CAN BE DANGEROUS AND CAUSE DOWN TIME.
4. KEEP EQUIPMENT CLEAN AND FREE OF DIRT AND GREASE SO IT CAN BE
CHECKED FOR LOOSE, CRACKD, OR BROKEN PARTS. REPLACE DEFECTIVE
PARTS AS SOON AS DISCOVERED.

2.2.2 FEED MATERIAL SIZE AND OTHERS
FOR SMOOTH FEEDING CONCERN, THE SIZE OF MATERIAL IS LIMITED UNDER
0.7 TIME THAN FEED OPENING SIZE IN AT LEAST ONE DIMENSION. ALSO THE AMOUNT
OF CLAY AND SAND OF MATERIAL WOULD BE AS LESS AS BETTER, IN ORDER NOT TO
AFFECT CAPACITY AND QUALITY. IN GENERAL SPEAKING, THERE ALWAYS HAVE A
GRIZZLY VIBRATING FEEDER TO FILTER THE CLAY AND SAND BEFORE CRUSHING.
2.3 CONTRUCTIONS
JAW CRUSHER HAVE DONE WITH SIMPLE BUT ROBUST CONSTRUCTIONS AND
FIRSTCLASS MATERIAL. SO, IT FITS FOR HEAVY LOADING. WE’VE SEPARATED MAIN
CONSTRUCTION IN 2 PARTS, ONE IS SWING JAW ASSEMBLY; THE OTHER IS FRAME
ASSEMBLY. (SEE FIG 2-1)
2.3.1 SWING JAW ASSEMBLY
IT IS DESIGNED AS A MOVING UNIT FOR CRUSHING AND LOCATE IN THE UP
CENTRUM OF FRAME ASSEMBLY. BY MEANS OF BEARING SEAT, BEARING, BOLT, NUT
ETC. TO TIGHTEN BOTH FRAME ASSEMBLY AND SWING JAW AND IN LOWER PROTION
OF SWING JAW, THERE HAVE A TOGGLE PLATE PITCHED WITH FRAME. MAIN PARTS
ARE SHOWN AS FOLLOWING CHART. (SIMPLIFIED FIGURE SEE FIG 2-2 & FIG 2-3 FOR

2.4 CRUSHING MECHANISM
2.4.1 PRINCIPLE
THE WORKING PRINCIPLE OF JAW CRUSHER IS DESCRIBED AS BELOW: POWER
COME FROM MOTOR AND THEN TRANSFER THROUGH V-BELT TO MACHINE PULLEY.
BE NOTED THAT THE ROTATION DIRECTION SHOULD BE ACCORDING TO FIG 3-3
SHOWN. OPPOSITE DIRECTION WILL DECREASE CAPACITY SERIOUSLY AND ALSO
CAUSE OIL LEAKAGE FROM LABYRINTH STRUCTURE OF COLLAR AND BEARING
COVER. SINCE THE PORTION OF ECCENTRIC SHAFT INSIDE SWING JAW AND THAT IN-
SIDE FRAME HAVE DIFFERENT CENTER, SO SWING JAW WOULD DO A ECCENTRIC
ROTATION BY FOLLOWING ECCENTRIC SHAFT WHILE ECCENTRIC SHAFT ROTATED.
ALSO THERE HAVE TOGGLE PLATE AND TENSION ROD BEHIND SWING JAW TO SUP-
PORT IT. DUE TO THIS ECCENTRIC ROTATING, MOVEABLE JAW PLATE WHICH IS FIXED
WITH SWING JAW WILL MAKE A KIND OF RELATIVELY ECCENTRIC ROTATING TO
FIXED JAW PLATE WHICH IS FIXED WITH FRAME. THEREBY THE GAP BETWEEN FIXED
& MOVABLE JAW PLATE WILL CHANGE ACCOMPANY WITH MOVEABLE JAW PLATE’S
ECCENTRIC ROTATING SO AS TO CRUSH RAW MATERIAL.
2.4.2 CRUSHING CHAMBER
IT COMPOSED BY FIXED AND MOVEABLE JAW PLATE. MOVEABLE JAW PLATE
WAS FIXED IN FRONT OF THE MACHINED PLANE OF SWING JAW VIA WEDGES, BOLTS
AND NUTS ETC., WEDGES IS DESIGNED TO BE TIGHTEN AGAIN EASILY TO FIX MOVA-
BLE JAW PLATE COMPLETELY AFTER WEARING OUT. FIXED JAW PLATE IS FIXED BY
CHECK PLATES OR FIXING PLATE. BOTH FIXED AND MOVEABLE JAW PLATES ARE
MADE OF HIGH MANGANESE STEEL ScMnH11, SO THEY COULD ENSURE ANTI-WEAR
AND FIRM. IN ORDER TO LAST JAW PLATES’ LIFE, THEY COULD BE REVERSIBLE USED
AFTER WEARING OUT.

4.2 CAUTIONS BEFORE TRIAL RUN
4.2.1 BE SURE THAT ALL BOLTS WERE TIGHTENED.
4.2.2 MAKE SURE TO USE THE SPECIFIED LUBRICANT AND CHECK IF LUBRICANT
AMOUNT IS BETWEEN UPPER AND LOWER LIMIT OR NOT.
4.2.3 CHECKED IF MOTOR PULLEY & MACHINE PULLEY IS IN A STRAIGHT LINE?
4.2.4 MOTOR CONDITION INSPECTION (HORSEPOWER, POLES)
4.2.5 KEEP THE SUITABLE TIGHTNESS OF V-BELT.
4.2.6 KEEP THE SUITABLE TIGHTNESS OF TENSION ROD AND SPRING. 4.2.7 CHECK
ANY INTERFERENCES FOR OPERATION.
4.2.7 CHECK THE DISCHARGE SETTING IS OK OR NOT?
4.3 TRIAL RUN PROCEDURE
4.3.1 UNLOAD TRIAL RUN
4.3.1.1 CHECK PRELIMINARY WORKS ARE OK, OTHERWISE STOP.
4.3.1.2 NO MATTERS ARE ALLOWED IN CRUSHING CHAMBER SUCH AS WOOD,
STONE BEFORE STARTING MAIN MOTOR.
4.3.1.3 CHECK THE WIRING IS OK THEN SWITCH ON.
4.3.1.4 TURN ON THE MOTOR SWITCH SHORTLY CHECK ANY INTERFERENCE, IF
PULLEY KEEP STILL THEN STOP IMMEDIATELY, BEGIN NORMAL OPERA-
TION AFTER TURNNING ONE CIRCLE.
4.3.1.5 CAUTIONS WHEN OPERATION
a. CHECK ANY ODD SOUND.
b. CHECK WHETHER V-BELT IS LOOSE OR SLIP AWAY.
c. CHECK THE VIBRATING DIRECTION.
d. CHECK THE R.P.M. (IS IT TOO FAST OR SLOW?)
e. CHECK THE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IS STEADY OR NOT. STOP THE
MACHINE AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM IN CASE OF ABOVE CASE
OCCURRED.
4.3.1.6 TO JUDGE UNLOADING TRIAL RUN IS OK OR NOT.
4.3.2 LOAD TRIAL RUN
4.3.2.1 BE SURE OF UNLOAD TRIAL RUN IS OK THEN DO FOLLOWING STEPS.
4.3.2.2 TURN ON THE SWITCH AND LET MACHINE BE IN UNLOADING RUN

5.1 CAUTION BEFORE OPERATION
5.1.1 BE SURE OF EVERY BOLT IS TIGHTENED.
5.1.2 KEEP UNCRUSHABLE MATERIAL AWAY FROM CRUSHING CHAMBER. BE SURE
TO CHECK THE MATERIAL HAVE SUNDRIES CONTENT OR NOT AND SWEEP
CLEAN. IF MAGNET SEPARATOR IS SET, START IT AT FIRST THEN SWITCH ON
THE JAW CRUSHER.
5.1.3 FEED MATERIAL SIZE SHOULD BE 0.7 TIME SMALL THAN FEED OPENING SIZE
FOR AT LEAST ONE DIMENSION TO AVOID CHOKING AND NEED TO BREAK AR-
