The water of Budha Nala is highly toxic having high concentration of heavy metals like
nickel, chromium and zinc in addition to dyes numerous other organic and and inorganic
compounds.
The farmers are using this water for irrigation purpose, thus degrading soil.
DISEASES.
The application of such water for irrigation will result in the uptake of pollutants by plants
thereby reaching man and animals through the food chain.
Disease like cholera, hepatitis, and specially cancer are the result.

FLOOD
Due to the overflowing of this canal in the monsoon season, flood was faced by village
bugga khurd in 2018 where almost 10 acre paddy crops destroyed.

FISHES VANISHED.
IN 1961 the canal was home for fishes but by the time all disappearded due to increase in toxic
substances in canal.
