1. Home Page

The aim for this portfolio is to create a website that allows future employers to view my

work from each unit, the purpose of the portfolio is to allow potential employers to view

my work and to also see a brief description of what i have done in each unit it also contains

information about me and also what i want to do in the future via my about me page and

my futures page. The target audience will be potential employers.

The site will include a home page called “My digital portfolio” then a units page that is used

to navigate to each individual units page.

2. Profile Page

In this page i will write “My name is luke jackson i am 17 years old the schools that i

attended were low ash primary school and beckfoot high school the college i have attended

is shipley college i have been a student here for two years my first year of college i studied

creative digital media but i am now studying IT as a course my future plans are to either go

onto a level three course or go onto a apprenticeship

Also my hobbies are climbing, disassembling and assembling computers and other things i

also like going to my youth group every friday as a leader as i am respected by the kids and

the adults because my strengths are communication and listening which is a key skill in

nearly all situations”

2.2. Purpose.

I have created this portfolio to show my work and to give future employers the ability to

see what achievements i have had and to also allow them to view my work i have done on

my current course.

3. Future Page.

3.1 Next Steps

I mainly want to get an apprenticeship in computing or technology systems as i am

fascinated with technology and would like to work with technology because i have a

profound knowledge of computer systems and other technology systems

3.2 Five Year Plan

I am wanting to have a stable job in computing, programming files or creating and

managing networks and systems, I also plan on becoming a member at my community

group to help and guide the young people at the community group and to help them with

their next steps.

3.3 Ten Year Plan

I currently don't know what i want to do in 10 years

4. Units.

4.1 Unit 1 - The online world

In this unit we learned about what online services, online advertising, Online documents -

file compression and Online software and backups are available and used on the internet

we also learned how each of these affects us and affects the internet

4.2 Unit 2 - Technology Systems

In this unit we learned about: computer hardware devices, computer networking, data

transfer, internal components of a computer, analogue & digital data, software,

programming concepts and operating systems and applications.

4.3 Unit 3 - digital portfolio

In this unit we are creating a digital portfolio for future employers we are doing this by

creating a website that will contain all of the required information and also contain the

process of the making the design and information

4.3 Unit 9 - Spreadsheet development

In this unit we learned how to create a spreadsheet that allows you to create and manage

stock and people and to create macros which do specific entered tasks.

5. Design Justification.

I have chosen the following design because it is of a professional theme which is perfect for

future consumers as it is perfectly organised to allow the employers to easily navigate the

website - include how it meets the purpose of the website and is suitable for the target

audience.

Also write about how the assets you used enhance the user experience.

6. Alternate Designs

I didn't chose this design because the pictures are to bright and the font is not legible also

the layout is a bit to plain

I didn’t chose this design either because the colours were too bland and the font was miss

matched also there was next to no layout
