FASHION THROUGHT THE TIME

1. Introduction:
It is good to study how fashions have changed over time. Clothing is very important for people. In many ways,
it is interesting to see how some aspects of clothing have stayed the same, and how they have progressed due
to better technology and the need of people, fashions have changed in men and women. In this essay, we will
study some of the main eras of history to see how fashion has changed over the years.

2. Body:
Fashion is much more than clothes, it is a physical representation of who we are and what we like.

(1920 - 1940) Fashion is growing and changing, the 1920s introduced fashion in the modern era. Women began
to wear skirts and dresses that were comfortable rather than constricted. And men dressed in more casual
clothes instead of the formal clothes that were the norm. The most worthy style of the 20s was the Flapper. The
flappers were women who wore short skirts, cut their hair, smoked and showed their discontent with society in
general.

The men also began to use large frames and single-breasted jackets. In the 1940s, due to the war, we began
to see how fashion was moving away from the fabulous bandages. After the war ended, the designers gave a
new twist to the clothing for women and men of the 50s.

(1950 - 1970) The woman's clothes became much tighter and this is where the idea of silhouette appeared in
the image.
Men in the 1950s wore leather jackets, fitted shirts, long pants and a style of leather shoes. The 60s is where
we put aside the traditional fashion trends that emerged from previous decades. This is where the bikini started
for girls, and women. The 60s were also popular for PVC dresses (boxed dresses) and Go Go boots. Highlighter
of colors and stacks. Bell trousers, dead tie, miniskirts and the androgynous hippie look were directed to the
trends of the 70s. The popular ones in the 70s for women were rayon or jersey dresses.

(1980's - Present) The fashion of the 80s brought a new light to acid wash jeans. The tight jeans came to the
fashion world in the 80s along with the high trousers. For both women and men, the bright colors of Néon were
the most popular fashion trend. Since the 90s and until the current decade, we are beginning to see how these
fashion trends return to our daily lives. Current yields have parts and pieces. From the 20s to the 80s.

3. Conclusion:
As shown in the previous article, the evolution of fashion over time, we can see how the new trends emerged,
how some quickly disappeared and observe those that surprise us by coming back again and again. Past styles
continue to influence our current fashion sense. Most people seem to be influenced by the most recent decades,
ideas for their own style of the era between 1950’s and 1970’s. In a given decade, the trends of the past reappear
and affect what they choose to wear and how they look. And today we are creating fashion trends that will
appear in the coming years.
