100 Years in the Making
● Universal Studios Hollywood is a branch
of the Universal Pictures family.
● Created to give to give tours of the real
life studio set.
● The attractions were later added to
reflect the movies that were being
created at Universal Pictures.
A Long, But Successful Ride
Growing Presence As a Family Destination
Over the last 5 years we have seen a significant
growth in ticket sales. The growth has lead to:

● Creation of Harry Potter World

● Updates to existing attractions
● Partnerships with popular shows ie.
The Walking Dead & Stranger Things

Attendance in 2016: 8 million

Attendance in 2017: 9 million

What We’re Bringing to the
Tour
Target Audience
● Families (specifically those with children)
● In particular, middle class families

- According to the U.S. Census Bureau, families whose income totals $57, 652 or more,
would fall into the middle class category.

● In addition to middle class families, we are looking to target a younger demographic,

ages 18-40.
Objective
● Overall objective: To unify and diversify through our theme park, brand and
entertainment subsidiaries.
● Specifically speaking, we would like to increase our Hollywood theme park
monthly attendance by approximately 84,000 visitors, making our 2020
annual visitor attendance equal to 12 million.
● Additionally, we want to see an increase of followers on our social media
sites, particularly on our Instagram account.

- Instagram: 1.6M followers —> 3M followers (2020)

● We want our organization to be THE theme park to visit, because there is

just so much we offer that other parks do not.

entertainment for all ages, families and
friends by creating our famous tour and
rides without prohibiting height

Fans have been asking, so we answered!
In 2019, Universal Studios Hollywood will host
its first ever Harry Potter Sorting Ceremony in
the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
This magical event is open to all ages and even
offers discounts like the “Weasley Family
Package,” a discounted family ticket package
and annual pass holders/ VIP ticket
purchasers will receive additional perks such
as:
- Entry to an exclusive pre-party
- A personalized wand
- Fast passes to the HP rides
- HP House Shirt (Their house, of course!)
- And many more HP themed goodies!
Run Universal: Revenge of the Mummy 5K Obstacle Course
Basic Info on Run Universal:
● Run Universal is a newly implemented theme
park race initiative to help increase attendance
at the park, but also works to provide a safe and
positive environment to encourage all
individuals to be active and lead a healthy
lifestyle.
● Based on the USH ride and original Mummy film
franchise, the Revenge of the Mummy 5K
Obstacle Course is the second event in the Run
Universal initiative.
Event Info:
● Will take place during early October, adding as
an event to help promote Halloween Horror
Nights at USH.
● Obstacle course is built by the same designers of
NBC’s hit show, American Ninja Warrior, and will
go through the entire theme park, including both
the front and back lot.
● Event will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes
looks at shows filming on the lot, mummies
surrounding the course and in the course, free
food, and Mummy themed swag bags!
● The event is open to all ages and event goers will
receive exclusive (and discounted!) entry to
HHN!

‘Jurassic World’ Opening to Feature
the Franchise’s Original Cast!
● The extinction of the 22-year-old Jurassic Park themed
area at USH occurred earlier this year. The colossal
change is making way for a new and improved Jurassic
World, which will be joining the park in 2019.
● Fans can expect brand new, adventurous rides installed
with new state of the art technology, the recreation Isla
Nublar, the island in which the original film took place.
● The entire cast of the original Jurassic Park film will be
present to take photos with fans.
● John Williams, 24-time Grammy winner and
critically-acclaimed composer will be at the event,
conducting the LA Philharmonic, who will be playing a
piece titled, “Revival,” written specifically by Williams
for the reopening of the Jurassic World themed land.
● Special guests such as Chris Pratt and Nick Robinson
from the new Jurassic World film will also be present to
welcome in the dinosaurs and never before seen
technology.
 Spielberg’s Steps In
Spielberg helps the Universal team improve the ride that recreates
his 90s classic.

Although the changes made to the ride are based on the most
recent instalments of the films the studio asked for Spielberg’s
help to recreate the image he first had of the Jurassic idea.

Universals statement:

“As one of his best known creations the company felt that
Spielberg’s input on the look of the ride would enhance its
experience.”
