Subject Cable Termination Procedure on April 1, 2018
Step Procedure Hour Schedule Data/Value To be Executed By GWE Verified By TI Facilities
Verified By Status Verified By Status Feeder Line De-energization 1 Verify substation incoming voltage (it should be zero) 2 Switch off load break switches of substations (S/S E, Eg, F, H, G) 3 Install LOTO at LBS TI substations (S/S E, Eg, F, H, G) and draw out Feeder at Team Energy Feeder 2 and 4 Install LOTO at LBS TI substations (S/S M, N, O) and Feeder at 7:00am to 8:00am 4 Team Energy Feeder 2 and 4 5 Draw out LVSG of S/S M, N, O normal breaker 6 Install grounding clusters on Feeder 2 and 4 at cold storage area 7 Label and picture all cables prior to dismantle Pull-out/Termination of MV cables (SPINE) 8 Open MV termination panel at spine fronting SS-G/H 8:00am to 9:00am 9 Install grounding clusters on main cable termination box 10 Mark cables and terminals before disconnection. Mark/label/picture cables from which terminals it was 9:00am to 10:00am disconnect one by one. Perform continuity test per cable. 11 Pull-out old Feeder 2 main cable using torque wrench and record torque values. 10:00am to 11:00am 12 Install new Feeder 2 main cable as per color coding or line numbers (L1-BLK, L2-RED, L3-BLU) 13 Torque bolts/nuts as required 14 Remove grounding clusters 11:00am to 12:00pm 15 Verify main cables resistance (L-L & L-G). It must be infinite. 16 (L1-BLK, L2-RED, L3-BLU) Pull-out/Termination of MV cables (Sectionalizer Tower). 17 Identify and disconnect old Feeder 2 main cables Pull-out old Feeder 2 main cables using torque wrench and record torque values. Do not damage 8:00am to 9:00am 18 existing cable (back up) ready for tapping. 19 Install additional horizontal angle bar support with pin insulators. 9:00am to 10:00am Terminate new Feeder 2 main cables as per color coding or 20 line numbers 10:00am to 11:00am 21 Torque bolts/nuts as required Remove grounding clusters previously installed on Close MV 22 termination panel at Spine 11:00am to 12:00pm 23 Megger test or Hi-pot Test 24 (L1-BLK, L2-RED, L3-BLU) Pull-out/Termination of MV cables (Substation N). 25 Open MV termination panel at SS-N 26 Install grounding clusters on Feeder 4 bus 1:00pm to 2:00pm 27 Install pull box at side of SS-N HVL panel. Mark cables and terminals before disconnection. Mark/label/picture cables from which terminals it was 28 disconnect one by one. Perform continuity test per cable. 2:00pm to 3:00pm Pull-out old Feeder 4 main cable using torque wrench and record 29 torque values 30 Install new Feeder 4 main cable as per color coding or line numbers 31 Torque bolts/nuts as required 32 Remove grounding clusters 3:00pm to 4:00pm 33 Verify main cables resistance (L-L & L-G). It must be infinite. 34 (L1-BLK, L2-RED, L3-BLU) Pull-out/Termination of MV cables (Sectionalizer Tower). 35 Identify and disconnect old Feeder 4 main cables Pull-out old Feeder 4 main cables using torque wrench and record torque values. Do not damage 36 existing cable (back up) ready for tapping. 1:00pm to 2:00pm Terminate new Feeder 4 main cables as per color coding or 37 line numbers 38 Torque bolts/nuts as required 39 Verify main cables resistance (L-L & L-G). It must be infinite. Remove grounding clusters previously installed on Close MV 2:00pm to 3:00pm 40 termination panel at SS-N 41 Megger test or Hi-pot Test 42 Close MV termination panel at Spine and SS-N Remove all scaffoldings and clear all affected areas with 3 man 3:00pm to 4:00pm 43 verification method 44 (L1-BLK, L2-RED, L3-BLU) Feeder Line Re-Energization Verify that all points affected by the project is clear and safe for 44 re-energization Remove LOTO at LBS TI substations (S/S E, Eg, F, H, G) and 45 Feeder at Team Energy Feeder 2 Remove LOTO at LBS TI substations (S/S M, N, O) and Feeder at 4:00pm to 5:00pm 46 Team Energy Feeder 4 Close LBS of SS –H and verify phase sequence of 480V side of transformer or NORMAL power 47 meterterminals 11/12/13. If CW, close LBS of SS-E, Eg, F & G 48 Verify individual phase sequence at SS-H and SS-N 49 System is now ready for load transfer back to normal power source
