Role NIC in government and governance :

1. NIC should strive to become a pinnacle organization for government in all
aspects of IT and ITeS.
2. All the works related to IT must have active role of NIC right from inception to
maintenance.
3. At all levels of government in judiciary,legislative and executive divisions of
government.
4. NIC should strive to develop its capacity in
a. advisory role to government,
b. Hardware Infrastructure services to government

c. Software infrastructure to government by inhouse developed

iii. Office suit
iv. Bigdata System

Human Resource of NIC :

All officers are selected in NIC are selected after stringent recruitment
test, hence its not the question of their talent or qualities. Changing time and emerging
technologies demand re-skilling and acquiring new qualifications . So NIC should support the
officers in acquiring additional qualifications which are useful to perform the assigned task with
quality and competence. MOUs can be signed with top academic institutions to make the
process easy and hassle free.
 Capabilities of NIC ​: Any country needs Scientific and innovative work to protect its
interests , deter the wrongs or punish the offenders. Development of country depends on
its scientific organizations. NIC as a whole must be capable of developing competent
technologies to stay ahead in technological race.

Research and Academics by NIC and its officers

Research centric environment must be promoted in order make the organization
competent and resourceful. Paper presentations , POCs like activities should be encouraged.
Assessment Mechanism which require less of human discretion to promote scientific
culture , efficiency and devotion to work. Multiple mechanisms to reward the achievements
should be started to keep the motivation high.

Services provided by NIC : ​NIC should provide platform and infrastructure ​ ​Services to
all government requirements from indigenously developed products rather than
commercially purchased ones. This will not only save the revenue but also create the
competent scientists and opportunity to generate the revenue in future. NIC should
develop common services and platforms usable by all government departments . Service
should of nature of generic use rather than application/user specific. NIC should be able
to determine the protocols and standards in consent with international community.
