Bio-decontamination System

Following extensive R&D, Telstar introduces an alternative bio-decontamination system, utilizing

ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (ionHP ®) for decontamination of aseptic enclosures.
ionHP ® utilizes only 7.5% concentration of H2O2 and is not reliant upon specific temperature
and humidity conditions. Consequently ionHP ® cycle times are consistently faster than other
conventional systems and the process is shown to have superior efficacy and improved materials
compatibility.
Downtime is therefore minimized, increasing throughput and payback on investment. With
reduced sterilant quantities ionHP ® is an excellent environmentally-friendly choice for bio-
decontamination.

Operating principle
This unique system provides rapid and effective
sterilisation of the enclosure, destroying
proteins, carbohydrates and lipids on contact
and kills biological agents including; viruses,
bacteria and microbial spores.

The system produces a fine mist of ionized

hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol by
passing through a cold plasma arc. Once ionized
it acts like a gas with excellent distribution
properties due to naturally repelling positively
charged ions. The ionHP ® system is controlled
via the Isolator PLC and includes complete data
acquisition.
