WORK METHOD STATEMENT FOR GRANITE FRAME:
 Flow Chart:

Issuing of Granite

Material Receiving & Cutting

Applying crush sand at the rear side and waiting for over night.

SHOP Measuring of dimesion and cutting of granite accordingly if

Fixing of Sill sub frame and check for any slope

Checking to be done to see if granite projections are matching with that of skirting or not

Fixing of Both the vertical sub frame and check for its plum

Fixing of Lintel sub frame and check for right anglr for all the four sides

Support to be given for one day

 Scope: Procedure to fix the granite frame for a window & w/c doors over the concrete
surface in Pancham building for all flats.

 RESOURCES:

 Electric Cutting Machine (800W)
 Plumb bob/spirit level
 Accent Trowel(4”)

B. Materials:
 Bamboos for supporting purpose
 Granite(black pearl)
 Cement OPC 53
 Water
 Bontite ( Type A & B)
 Crushed sand
C. Manpower:
 1 Mason
 1 Helper

 Procedure:
 Application of crushed sand at the rear side with the help of araldite (Type A & B) for
bonding purpose.
 Should be kept for 24 Hrs. before commencement of actual work.
 Checking for actual dimension and cutting accordingly (if required).
 Fixing of sill sub frame with the cement paste.
 Check for any slope if there with the help of spirit level.
 Fixing of two vertical sub frame with help of cement paste.
 Check for plum level and its projection which should match ith the skirting.
 Fixing of lintel sub frame.
 Apply support with the help of bamboo.

 CONTROL MEASURES:
 Projection of sill sub frame and skirting should coincide.
 Dimensions should be as per the drawings.

 Responsibility:  Vendor/Contractor - The

Vendor/Contractor should start the work only
after the clearance from the site engineer.
 Accountable  Site Engineer – The engineer should
provide the Vendor/Contractor with Architectural
drawing, Shop drawings and Specifications for
the work and should request the consultant for
the visit prior to the work. Also the check list for
each activity should be produced by the site
engineer.
 Consult to  Architect, Manufacturer – Checking
should be done by consultant as per site
engineers request and approval for work shall
be given.
 Informed to  Project Manager – Daily reporting shall
be done to the project manager by the site
engineer.
