position posted through our university’s website. I am in the MBA program with focus in strategy, and
also have a master’s in finance and undergrad in computer science engineering. The combination of
these knowledge areas along with my experience as an entrepreneur places me in an ideal position to
work in the role described in the job posting. I have worked with Michael’s for developing their
strategy to optimize their logistics network in Canada and did my summer internship in Novartis
pharmaceuticals in their procurement leadership development program, helping in procurement of
consultancy services. This gave me exposure to work culture in USA, helped me build up a global
mindset and working with remote teams.
In my understanding, this posting requires the employee to understand top-down strategy and analyze
the impact that decisions will have financially and operationally. It also requires an understanding of
risk exposures and legal issues involved in contracting. The job will involve a lot of communication
management and stakeholder’s management at senior level. I have consistently developed those skills
over a period and I believe I am now in an ideal position to be in this role and handle these
responsibilities. I have developed my analytical skills working as a database designer and my business
skills working as SAP consultant for Bosch in finance module and running my own business. I have
worked at the base of the team and at the top of the team handling teams larger than 100 people. I have
managed multiple stakeholders and have been involved consistently with the legal teams for
understanding the nuances of contracting. I have worked with Michael’s as a project manager for
developing their strategy to optimize their logistics network in Canada during my school year and did
my summer internship in Novartis pharmaceuticals in their procurement leadership development
program, helping in procurement of management consultancy services for senior leadership and
auditing services for media and digital teams. I am currently working with them to support the
procurement for their supply chain analytics department and assisting with the separation of Alcon
from Novartis in April 2019. This gave me exposure to work culture in different industries in USA and
helped me build up a global mindset and working with remote teams.
I am a candidate who can hit the ground running right from the first day at the job and begin
contributing to the company. One of the comments that I received from my manager during the
internship was “You handled the work alone for which we would have recruited an associate director”.
I believe in consistent and continuous growth through learning and experiences and I am eager to learn
