INTRODUCTION:
Simulation modeling solves real-world problems safely and efficiently. It provides an important
method of analysis which is easily verified, communicated, and understood. Across industries
and disciplines, simulation modeling provides valuable solutions by giving clear insights into
complex systems.
Simulation enables experimentation on a valid digital representation of a system. Unlike physical
modeling, such as making a scale copy of a building, simulation modeling is computer based and
uses algorithms and equations. Simulation software provides a dynamic environment for the
analysis of computer models while they are running, including the possibility to view them in 2D
or 3D.
The uses of simulation in business are varied and it is often utilized when conducting
experiments on a real system is impossible or impractical, often because of cost or time.
The ability to analyze the model as it runs sets simulation modeling apart from other methods,
such as those using Excel or linear programming. By being able to inspect processes and interact
with a simulation model in action, both understanding and trust are quickly built.

OBJECTIVES:
 To make a very light structure which can withstand 200kg of mass on a point and its own
weight
STRUCTURE TO BE SIMULATED:

Fig no. 1 shows the structure under observation. DIMENSIONS:

Fig no.1

Fig no.2 shows the complete dimensions of the structure.

SIMULATION # 1
In this simulation structure is considered to be a solid structure.

A. For fixed base:

1. First material is to be considered which is 1023 carbon steel.
2. With this material the mass of the structure is 80.76KG.
3. Volume is 0.0128 cubic meters.
4. The base of the frame is to be fixed as shown in Fig no.3.
Fig no.3
5. Now using load advisor apply disturbed mass of 200kg on the center of the middle
beam as shown in Fig no.4.

6. Now the
results of
simulation Fig no.4
are shown in Fig no.5 .

1. Here material is also carbon same mass and
volume but base is not fixed this time.
2. Same applications of gravity and weight.
3. And results are shown in Fig no.9 , 10 and 11.

SIMULATION # 2
In this simulation structure has gauge of 6mm

A. For fixed base:

1. First material is to be considered which is 1023 carbon steel.
2. With this material the mass of the structure is 55.8KG.
3. Volume is 0.00711 cubic meters.
4. Now using load advisor apply disturbed mass of 200kg on the center of the middle
beam.
5. Now Fig no.12 shows the result of the simulation.
