HOT BEVARGES

There are the three types of hot beverages:

 Coffee

 Tea

 Cocoa

Starting with coffee:

Coffee is a beverage that starts with a seed and ends in a cup provided to the consumer.

Process of coffee

1. Planting:

Starting with the planting, coffee seeds are planted in large beds of shaded nurseries, once they grow and sprout,

they are separated from seed and are planted in individual pots in soil. And due to watery condition in winters, they

are mostly grown in winter.

2. Harvesting:

When seeds are ready to be harvested, they become bright and deep red coloured. They are stripped away from

branches, in cased striped by labour has a huge cost. And then seeds will be floated in water. Ripe and green

cherries are developed, and both are used for their own use and are opposite from each other. Ripe cherries are soft

and break that the coffee seed is released through the screen.

3. Fermenting:

than coffee beans are covered in mucilage are sent to air dry manually or our sent to fermentation tanks, in

fermentation tanks coffee is dry’s the bean and remove’s mucilage from them. Every coffee is gone in to different

fermentation tanks according to their quality. Fermenting for too long isn’t good for the coffee beans.

4. Drying:
they are dried until left with 11-12 moisture.

5. Roasting:

Than the coffee beans are roasted, green beans are mixed up with brown beans and are than roasted.

6. Grinding

And then finally coffee is grinded and with the perfection of grinding, the perfect taste for the coffee is developed.

Characteristics of decaffeinated coffee:

 it is made by 97% of caffeine removed.

 the caffeine is removed by different ways, the most common way is by water.

Characteristics of Instant Coffee:

 it is the coffee made from dried coffee extract.

 Two common way to dry are:

 Spray drying: beans are pushed into hot air.

 Freeze drying: the coffee is being freeze.

Characteristics of green coffee:

 It is made from the seeds that are still not roasted.

 it is healthier than the other coffees due to its making and process.

Tea:

Tea is another most common used type of hot bevarge, it includes pouring hot water in curved leaves of

camellia.

Process:

 first the leafs are taken from the garden, and are send to factory for the further process.
Different types of tea:

White tea:

 it is the most known type of tea. It is made by leaf that has not opened completely, leaf’s are dried in a non-

oxidized atmosphere.

Green tea:

 it is made from the most dried leaf’s

 it has three processes:

 steaming, rolling and drying.

Oolong tea:

 It the intermediate type of tea in between green and black tea.

 It has the same process like green tea, the difference is green tea is not fermented and oolong tea is

fermented.

 It looks like black tea but has taste of green tea.

Black tea:

 the basic purpose for the black tea is that it is the green tea that is fermented.

 Its process is

 Withering, Rolling, sorting, grading, storage and packing.

Instant tea:

Instant tea has the same process like instant coffee , it has just leaf’s and coffee has beans.
