Task:
A
company,
organization
or
political
party
of
your
choice
has
hired
you
to
create
an
advertisement
for
their
latest
ad
campaign.
You
must
create
an
effective
ad
and
present
it
to
the
board
of
directors
(the
class).
You
may
work
alone
or
in
pairs.
Part
1:
The
Advertisement
You
will
choose
one
of
the
following
forms
for
your
ad:
• T.V.
Commercial:
This
type
of
advertisement
combines
audio
and
visual
elements.
It
should
be
30
seconds
to
1
minute
in
length.
You
have
two
options
for
presenting
this.
You
may:
o Film
your
advertisement
and
present
it
to
the
class
using
the
T.V.
or
the
smart
board.
o Act
out
your
advertisement
in
front
of
the
class.
• Print
Advertisement:
This
is
a
strictly
visual
advertisement.
You
might
see
print
ads
in
the
metro
or
in
a
magazine.
This
type
of
advertisement
should
be
either
poster
size
or
the
size
of
a
standard
magazine
page
(1
or
2
pages).
• Radio
Commercial:
This
is
the
type
of
advertisement
is
comprised
of
audio
only
(voices,
music
and
sound
effects).
It
should
be
30
-‐
45
seconds
long.
Part
2:
The
Presentation
After
presenting
your
ad,
you
will
need
to
convince
the
board
of
directors
(the
class)
that
it
will
be
effective.
To
do
this,
you
will
state
your
target
audience
and
the
advertising
strategies
you
used.
Use
the
attached
sheet
to
guide
your
presentation.
Be
prepared
to
answer
questions
about
your
ad.
Evaluation:
50
points
Advertisement:

points
You
will
be
evaluated
on
effort,
originality,
and
the
effectiveness
of
your
ad.
Presentation:
20
points
You
will
be
evaluated
on
the
clarity
and
comprehensiveness
of
your
presentation.
