Phone number, Gender, Birthdate, Veteran flag and FERPA Flag.
Names table that should be used to allow the display, if not the selection, to

Table Name Description
Course Catalog data by Course ID. Includes Status, Effective Date, Course
Descriptions, Equivalent Course, Course Units Minimum and Maximum,
Grading Basis, Course Topic and Repeat designations.
Parent record to CRSE_OFFER and CRSE_COMPONENT.
In combination, the Course Catalog tables CRSE_CATALOG, CRSE_OFFER
and CRSE_COMPONENT are Parent records and feed to the Class Schedule
CRSE_CATALOGE
and CLASS_TBL, CLASS_ASSOCIATION and CLASS_COMPONENT.
Note: This is an effective dated record commonly joined to the Class
Schedule Term level tables. The logic to determine the Course Effective Date
for the correct Term should be Less Than or Equal to the Term End Date in
the Max Effective Date sub-query for accuracy.
Example: CRSE_CATALOG.EFFDT <= TERM_TBL.TERM_END_DT
Course Offering data by Course ID, Course Offer Number. Includes Effective
Date, Institution, Subject, Catalog Number, Academic Organization,
Academic Career, Requirement Group and CIP Code.

CLASS DATA
Table Name Description
Schedule of Classes data by Institution, Term and Class Number. Includes
Academic Group and Organization, Subject, Catalog Number, Campus, Enroll
Status, Class Status, Capacity and Enrollment totals and the Associated Class
Number. The combination of Course ID, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session and Class Section creates the unique Class Number within a Term.
CLASS_TBLP
Course Catalog records are what feeds the Class records.
Parent record to CLASS_ASSOC, CLASS_MTG_PAT, CLASS_ATTRIBUTE,
CLASS_RSRV_CAP and CLASS_NOTES.
Note: The CLASS_TBL.EMPLID field in this record should not be joined with
any table. Including but not limited to CLASS_INSTR and STDNT_ENRL.
Schedule of Classes Units data by Course Id, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session and Associated Class. Includes Units. Course Catalog records are
CLASS_ASSOCP
what feeds the Class records.
Child record to CLASS_TBL.
Schedule of Classes Dynamic Dated data by Course Id, Course Offer Number,
Term, Session and Class Section. Classes that do not follow within the
DYN_CLASS_DATA
regular term session calendar dates are setup as Dynamically Dated classes.

CLASS_COMPONENT Term, Session and Associated Class. Includes Class Components and

Data Services view built from CLASS_TBL joined to CLASS_INSTR to
VCS_CLASS_INSTR efficiently query term class instructor data. Includes Instructor Name,
(Recommended) Term, Institution, Class number and Instructor Role.
Recommended instead of CLASS_INSTR when meeting pattern data is not
needed
Delivered view from CLASS_INSTR, TERM_TBL, CLASS_MTG_PAT,
CLASS_TBL, CRSE_CATALOG, NAMES to efficiently query Schedule of Classes
data. Includes Term, Emplid, Class Number, Instructor Name, Academic
Group, Subject, Catalog Nbr, Class Section, Enroll Total, Meeting Times and
INSTR_CLASS_VW
Facility.
(Recommended)
It is recommended to use VCS_CLASS_INSTR for Class and Instructor data
when meeting pattern data is not needed.
Recommended instead of CLASS_INSTR when Class and Meeting Pattern
data are both needed.

CLASS_MTG_PAT
Child record to CLASS_TBL. Parent record to CLASS_INSTR.
It is recommended to only use this table if the Instructor is not yet assigned
to course, otherwise use INSTR_CLASS_VW.
Data Services view built from CLASS_TBL joined to CLASS_ATTRIBUTE to
efficiently query student and class attribute connections. Includes Term,
Institution, Class Number, Class Section, Course Id and Course Attribute and
VCS_CLASS_ATTR Attribute Value.
(Recommended) Recommended instead of CLASS_ATTIBUTE
Use CRSE_ATTR_VALUE for CRSE_ATTR_VALUE Description and
CRSE_ATTR_TBL for CRSE_ATTR Description.
Schedule of Classes Note data by Course Id, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session, Class Section and Class Notes Seq. Includes Class Note Nbr and
Long Description. Record will only have Class Note Nbr or Long Description
populated.
CLASS_NOTES
Child record to CLASS_TBL.
Note: Long Description for Class Note Nbr is in CLASS_NOTE_TBL and must
be outer joined or classes with no note ID will be eliminated from the
selection.
This table contains standardized Class notes by Institution and Class Note
Nbr. This table is used when a note can apply to a broad scope of classes.
Using a Class Note Nbr eliminates repetitive data entry work and gives
consistency to class notes when desired. Must be joined to CLASS_NOTES to
CLASS_NOTES_TBLEP
join to a table.
Note: There are class notes that are dynamic and entered for each class
section in CLASS_NOTES must be outer joined or classes with no note ID
will be eliminated from the selection.
Schedule of Classes Reserve Capacity data by Course Id, Course Offer
Number, Term, Session, Class Section and Reserve Capacity Number.
Includes Start Date, Enrollment Capacity and Requirement Group.
CLASS_RSRV_CAP
Child record to CLASS_TBL.
This record can join to RQ_GRP_TBL.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the Class
Reserve description.
Schedule of Classes Textbooks and Course Materials data by Course Id,
Course Offer Number, Term, Session, Class Section and SeqNumber.
SSR_CLS_TXB_DTL Includes Course Material Type, Required Status, Description, ISBN and
Author.
Child record to CLASS_TBL.
Schedule of Classes Combined Section data by Institution, Term, Session,
SCTN_CMBND Section Combined ID and Class Number.
Child record to SCTN_CMBND_TBL.

Capacity.
Parent record to FACILITY_CHRSTC.
This table contains Room Characteristics data by Room Characteristic.
ROOM_CHRSTC_TBLEP Includes Description of Room Characteristic.
Parent record to FACILITY_CHRSTC.
This table contains Room Characteristics by Facility ID, Set ID and Room
FACILITY_ CHRSTCE Characteristic. Includes Room Characteristic Quantity.
Child record to FACILITY_TBL and ROOM_CHRSTC_TBL.

COURSE/CLASS REQUIREMENTS
Table Name Description
Requirement Groups by Requirement Group, Requirement Usage
(Enrollment or Advisement) and Institution. Includes Description,
Academic Career, Academic Program and Academic Plan which are
populated if an Advisement usage, but Academic Program and Academic
Plan may also be blank. When the Requirement Group is an Enrollment
usage then you may see Academic Group populated but may also be blank.

This record can be joined to CLASS_RSRV_CAP.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the
Class Reserve description.
RQ_GRP_TBLEP
This record can be joined to CRSE_OFFER.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the
Course Requisites description.
This record can be joined to CLASS_ASSOC.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the Class
Requisites description.

the items or budget components that make up the budget.

For example, Dependent students who are undergraduate, majoring in


liberal arts, and living on campus would have a specific cost of attendance
or budget. The items or components of that budget could be tuition, books,
living expenses, and transportation. Each of these items would have a cost
associated with them and in total make up the cost of attendance for the
term.
