(Recommended) Assigns Terms based on the Student Group Active when the effective date
less than or equal to Term End dates.

Course Credit Rules are applied. This data feeds the TRNS_CRSE_% tables.

IV. CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT
COURSE CATALOG
Course Catalog data by Course ID. Includes Status, Effective Date, Course
Descriptions, Equivalent Course, Course Units Minimum and Maximum,
Grading Basis, Course Topic and Repeat designations.
Parent record to CRSE_OFFER and CRSE_COMPONENT.
In combination, the Course Catalog tables CRSE_CATALOG, CRSE_OFFER
and CRSE_COMPONENT are Parent records and feed to the Class Schedule
CRSE_CATALOGE
and CLASS_TBL, CLASS_ASSOCIATION and CLASS_COMPONENT.
Note: This is an effective dated record commonly joined to the Class
Schedule Term level tables. The logic to determine the Course Effective Date
for the correct Term should be Less Than or Equal to the Term End Date in
the Max Effective Date sub-query for accuracy.

Course Offering data by Course ID, Course Offer Number. Includes Effective
Date, Institution, Subject, Catalog Number, Academic Organization,

Schedule of Classes data by Institution, Term and Class Number. Includes
Academic Group and Organization, Subject, Catalog Number, Campus, Enroll
Status, Class Status, Capacity and Enrollment totals and the Associated Class
Number. The combination of Course ID, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session and Class Section creates the unique Class Number within a Term.
CLASS_TBLP
Course Catalog records are what feeds the Class records.
Parent record to CLASS_ASSOC, CLASS_MTG_PAT, CLASS_ATTRIBUTE,
CLASS_RSRV_CAP and CLASS_NOTES.
Note: The CLASS_TBL.EMPLID field in this record should not be joined with
any table. Including but not limited to CLASS_INSTR and STDNT_ENRL.
Schedule of Classes Units data by Course Id, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session and Associated Class. Includes Units. Course Catalog records are
CLASS_ASSOCP
what feeds the Class records.
Child record to CLASS_TBL.
Schedule of Classes Dynamic Dated data by Course Id, Course Offer Number,
Term, Session and Class Section. Classes that do not follow within the

(Recommended) Term, Institution, Class number and Instructor Role.
Recommended instead of CLASS_INSTR when meeting pattern data is not
needed
Delivered view from CLASS_INSTR, TERM_TBL, CLASS_MTG_PAT,
CLASS_TBL, CRSE_CATALOG, NAMES to efficiently query Schedule of Classes
data. Includes Term, Emplid, Class Number, Instructor Name, Academic

It is recommended to use VCS_CLASS_INSTR for Class and Instructor data

CLASS_MTG_PAT
Child record to CLASS_TBL. Parent record to CLASS_INSTR.
It is recommended to only use this table if the Instructor is not yet assigned
to course, otherwise use INSTR_CLASS_VW.
Data Services view built from CLASS_TBL joined to CLASS_ATTRIBUTE to
efficiently query student and class attribute connections. Includes Term,
Institution, Class Number, Class Section, Course Id and Course Attribute and
VCS_CLASS_ATTR Attribute Value.
(Recommended) Recommended instead of CLASS_ATTIBUTE
Use CRSE_ATTR_VALUE for CRSE_ATTR_VALUE Description and
CRSE_ATTR_TBL for CRSE_ATTR Description.
Schedule of Classes Note data by Course Id, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session, Class Section and Class Notes Seq. Includes Class Note Nbr and
Long Description. Record will only have Class Note Nbr or Long Description
populated.
CLASS_NOTES
Note: Long Description for Class Note Nbr is in CLASS_NOTE_TBL and must
be outer joined or classes with no note ID will be eliminated from the
selection.
This table contains standardized Class notes by Institution and Class Note
Nbr. This table is used when a note can apply to a broad scope of classes.
Using a Class Note Nbr eliminates repetitive data entry work and gives
consistency to class notes when desired. Must be joined to CLASS_NOTES to
CLASS_NOTES_TBLEP
join to a table.
Note: There are class notes that are dynamic and entered for each class
section in CLASS_NOTES must be outer joined or classes with no note ID
will be eliminated from the selection.
Schedule of Classes Reserve Capacity data by Course Id, Course Offer
Number, Term, Session, Class Section and Reserve Capacity Number.
Includes Start Date, Enrollment Capacity and Requirement Group.

This record can join to RQ_GRP_TBL.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the Class
Reserve description.
Schedule of Classes Textbooks and Course Materials data by Course Id,
Course Offer Number, Term, Session, Class Section and SeqNumber.
SSR_CLS_TXB_DTL Includes Course Material Type, Required Status, Description, ISBN and
Author.
Schedule of Classes Combined Section data by Institution, Term, Session,
SCTN_CMBND Section Combined ID and Class Number.

FACILITIES
This table contains Facility data by Set ID and Facility ID. This table can be
joined to CLASS_MTG_PAT table to connect with Schedule of Classes data.
FACILITY_TBLEP Includes Building Code, Room, Description, Facility Type and Room
Capacity.
Parent record to FACILITY_CHRSTC.
This table contains Room Characteristics data by Room Characteristic.
ROOM_CHRSTC_TBLEP Includes Description of Room Characteristic.
Parent record to FACILITY_CHRSTC.
This table contains Room Characteristics by Facility ID, Set ID and Room
FACILITY_ CHRSTCE Characteristic. Includes Room Characteristic Quantity.

COURSE/CLASS REQUIREMENTS
Requirement Groups by Requirement Group, Requirement Usage
(Enrollment or Advisement) and Institution. Includes Description,
Academic Career, Academic Program and Academic Plan which are
populated if an Advisement usage, but Academic Program and Academic
Plan may also be blank. When the Requirement Group is an Enrollment
usage then you may see Academic Group populated but may also be blank.

This record can be joined to CLASS_ASSOC.RQRMNT_GROUP to get the Class
Requisites description.
This record can be joined to SAA_ADB_RESULTS.RQRMNT_GROUP and
SAA_ADB_CRSEUSE.RQRMNT_GROUP
Note: Once a Course with a Requirement Group
(CRSE_OFFER.RQRMNT_GROUP) is scheduled as a Class, the Course level
Requirement Group does not populate in Class Associations table
(CLASS_ASSOC.RQRMNT_GROUP). The Requirement Group field in the
Class Associations table may contain a class section level Requirement
Group. There is a Y/N flag in the Class Associations table that represents the
use of a Course Requirement Group – CLASS_ASSOC.USE_CATLG_RQS.
Requirements by Requirement, Requirement Usage (Enrollment or
RQ_MAIN_TBLEP
Advisement) and Institution. Includes Descriptions, Academic Career,

Academic Program and Academic Plan which are populated if Advisement

Requirement Line Number by Requirement and Requirement Line Number.
Includes Description and Line Type, may also include Units Required or
Courses Required and GPA Requirements.
RQ_LINE_TBLE
This record can be joined to SAA_ADB_RESULTS.RQ_LINE_NBR and
SAA_ADB_CRSEUSE.RQ_LINE_NBR.
Child record to RQ_MAIN_TBL.
COURSE/CLASS FEES
Schedule of Classes Fee data by Set ID, Course ID, Course Offer Nbr, Term,
Session, Class Section and Class Component. Includes Charge Method
(1=Always Charge Term Tuition, 2=Do Not Include in Term Tuition) and
Charge Course Fee flag. When Charge Method is set to 2, then the class
units are not assessed or included in the count of regular tuition and fee
bearing charges, the Class Fee is the only thing that his charged. When
CLASS_FEE_TBLP
Charge Method is set to 1, the Class Fee is added to regular tuition and fee
charges.
Note: A class section may have both a Class Fee and a Course Fee and both
tables must be queried for details as the Course Fee does not populate the
Class Fee tables. There is a Course Fee Flag in the Class Fee tables that
indicates if a Course Fee is also associated with the Class Section.
Schedule of Class Fee data by Set ID, Course ID, Course Offer Number, Term,
Session, Class Section and Class Component. Includes Account Type, Item
Type and Amount Per Unit or Flat Amount. The field
CLASS_SBFEE_TBL
SSF_CRITR_EQUTN_SW identifies if an Equation Engine is being used to

ITEM_TP_FA_AWRD This view is used as prompt table for Item Types in Financial Aid Awarding
panels.
Student Fin Aid Term
This table contains student information by Institution and Term. The
primary use of this table is to provide a consolidated view of student term

data for Financial Aid processing purposes. This record is created from
Stdnt_Car_Term, if student is continuing; otherwise it is created from
Adm_Appl_Prog.
Student Term Budget
STDNT_TERM_BDGT Use STDNT_TERM_BDGT and STDNT_BUDGET_IT to assign a financial aid
budget to a student for a specific term. STDNT_TERM_BDGT identifies the

specific type of budget for the term, and STDNT_BUDGET_IT contains all of
the items or budget components that make up the budget.
For example, Dependent students who are undergraduate, majoring in

liberal arts, and living on campus would have a specific cost of attendance
or budget. The items or components of that budget could be tuition, books,
living expenses, and transportation. Each of these items would have a cost
associated with them and in total make up the cost of attendance for the
term.

STU_AID_ATTRIB is the child table to the Financial Aid table STUDENT_AID.
STDNT_AID_ATRBT A student applying for aid would have a new record each year, and this
table contains the attributes, and high level information relating to the
application, awarding and processing of financial aid for the year.

This table holds packaging variables Common Attribute data specific to a
student.

This table holds packaging variables with data specific to a student.
STDNT_FA_MSGS Stdnt Fin Aid Edit Msgs
STDNT_FA_MSGS is a user maintained table used for storing and
maintaining edit messages regarding Financial Aid processing for the
student. These messages are commonly problems that users have identified
with user queries, and alert the user to processing issues that need to be
addressed.
