Problems:

 The entity only keeps manual records of their day-to-day sales, revenue and
expenses. This system is susceptible to input and arithmetic errors. It is also time
consuming and prone to fraud and manipulation.

 No proper segregation of records. All types of transactions are lumped when


recorded.

 The entity does not keep detailed records of their customers, most especially,
those who just leave their laundry under the service of the shop attendant. There
is no claim stub given to the proper claimant, thus, incurring high possibility of
giving a mixed-up or worse, wrong set of laundry to the customer.

Objective:

General Objective: To design and implement information system or software that could
help the Khella Wash n Dry Self-Service Laundry in recording and reporting their day-to-
day transactions.

1. To create a system that will allow the business to electronically record their
transactions for faster, convenient and timely assessment of their financial position and
performance.

2. To create a system that will assist the shop attendant for a systematic process
of receiving, keeping and releasing of laundry

Scope and Limitation:

This proposal would like to answer the need for an information system of a self-
service laundry shop, specifically the two branches of Khella Wash n Dry Self-Service
Laundry, located in Brgy. Poblacion, Kabacan. The research is limited to assisting the
owner, as well as the customers through the creation of design of an information system
that could automate and fix the system of the whole process of the service to achieve a
more convenient laundry experience in Kabacan.
